Position Purpose & Summary

The role will enable the delivery of the overall global learning strategy of the organization with specific focus on innovative digital / virtual learning methodologies to meet the growing dynamic needs of our global diverse employees. The role will ensure collaboration of delivery along with internal and external partners who understand the overall vision of the learning organization.

Principal Accountabilities

40% - Responsible for the delivery of global programs in alignment with the virtual learning strategy that are not able to be delivered by the regional solutions model and to defined to support the long term learning needs of the organization

20% – Collaborate in the creation of innovative learning programs using simulation, gaming and other socially engaging platforms

10% – Enabling the decision making process to finalize priorities and budgets for learning by working closely with other partner functions like HR, IT and businesses

10% – Continuously provide inputs to the global learning team by market research on evolving digital and virtual learning technologies so as to enable learning through voluntary and virtual modes. Enable means to Knowledge management through collaboration tools available in the industry

10% – Feed in industry best practices of learning that can be tailored to meet the dynamic and growing needs of the organization and also catering to the diverse learning audience

10% – Adhere and work towards achieving the learning targets defined year on year and also keep a tight control of the budgets in a manner to be optimally utilized


Minimum Required Qualifications

  • A full-time bachelor degree is required with 50% average score

  • At least 10 years of work experience with global exposure and 5 years with experience in people management .

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Good presentation skills to be able to present information to audience at different levels. Excellent inter-personal skills with proven record of working with many cross-functional teams across the globe

  • Managing large complex programs as per the organizational mandate of quality, budget and timelines. Acumen to work with business leaders to understand the needs and deliver the same as per the commitment made during sign-off

  • Wide knowledge and interface with External Knowledge Partners in the space of Game design / Learner curated content partners.

  • Been part of Projects involving Cross Industry Digital Device Layers , which are futuristic and an ability to connect the Dots.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Management and/or relevant certifications to prove continuous interest in learning and updating knowledge

  • Worked with global organizations in the HR space and alignment towards fulfilling the learning needs of the organization. Proven track records to have engaged in innovative learning solutions and ability to deliver experiential learning programs to senior colleagues of the organization.

  • Should have been part break through Digital / Virtual Programs and experience in working of Digital Collaborators

  • Managing the budgets of the learning function and knowledge to suggest the ideal partners who can deliver programs as per the planned / allotted budget for programs. To be comfortable to work with colleagues of multiple nationalities, understanding the cultural elements to synergize the work output and to maintain positive working relationships with all cross functional teams.

  • Proficient in delivering leadership sessions. Knowledgeable in identifying knowledge partners, working with them as a team in delivering quality programs. Hands-on experience in research of emerging learning technology innovations and ability to incorporate the same in the existing learning framework of the organization.

  • Should have been proficient in Managing large scale and diverse program portfolio executions involving Digital and New Age Learning Technologies.

  • Evaluated and Cross Knowledge in Learning Experience Maps and Crowd Sourced Learning Platforms

  • Working knowledge in Creating and advising on Learning Analytics/Metrics and Dashboards as Decision Support Systems to drive Learner Engagement.

  • Working knowledge on driving Social Tools in learning like Yammer/SAP JAM etc.

  • Setting up and Knowledge on Creating Rich media Studios and Partners adept in such platforms.

  • Serving in this role can enhance the individuals ability to drive global strategies for implementing customized learning strategies to multiple lines of businesses.

This can enhance the individuals skills to work with multiple diversified partners across the globe in delivering programs to meet the common goals. Over time the individual can manage a team that can deliver high performance for learning programs and establish a strategic team that adds significant value to enhance the knowledge capital of the organization.
