Position Purpose:

The Finance organization within Cargill includes FP&A, A&F, Corporate Financial Reporting, Treasury, Tax and the related Finance activities performed in the Cargill business Enterprises. In addition it includes the various Finance activities executed by the 6 Cargill Business Service centers, globally. The group collectively is working to establish a concerted focus on critical data management areas to help achieve a vision of more widely accessible, usable and secured financial related data. This position will be part of the ground breaking activities towards achieving these goals.

The Finance Data Governance Analyst is expected to possess deep expertise regarding the cross functional integration of data and data processes. Therefore being able to drive critical priorities associated with governance topics, meeting agendas and policy creation/enforcement to support the data strategy for all areas of Finance. This role will help design and implement critical data focused roles across Finance in alignment with the strategy and in collaboration with IT.

Principal Accountabilities:

1.Accountable for establishment and seamless conduct of Finance Data Governance (50%)

a.Support the overall development and maintenance of the Finance Data Strategy, including the Data Governance framework and its execution. This will be done in alignment with other relevant strategies such as the overall Finance Strategy and Purpose, Enterprise Architecture Strategy, Data and BI Strategy and Data Strategies of the Enterprises.

b.Establish and manage the conduct of the Finance Data Council and Data Stewardship Teams. Recommend and influence the meeting/topical agendas for these governance bodies. The activities include: setting up meeting agendas, conduct of meetings and ensuring constructive participation from members, highlighting important data governance topics needing attention, facilitating decision making on key data governance topics, driving implementation of decisions through data roles within and outside of finance, coordinating and collaborating with relevant teams across Cargill for effective and efficient implementation of decisions.

c.Coaching members on the subject of data as necessary, sharing good data management practices and highlighting short and long term impact of data decisions.

2.Lead the setup of data policies and procedures for data management areas (25%)

a.Identify data policies and procedures to be created for effective and efficient data governance.

b.Responsible for defining and maintaining data related policies, presenting new policies or policy modifications to the relevant governance bodies for review and approval.

c.Responsible for implementation and governance of data policies.

3.Lead the setup of data professional roles (10%)

a.Identify new data roles to be established within the Cargill Finance arena for more effective and efficient data management.

b.Recommend modifications to existing data roles to suit the evolving needs of Cargill Finance.

4.Promote the value of a data management focused culture/mindset and monitor & communicate conformance with Finance data policies (10%)

5.Miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as assigned (5%)

Qualifications

Required Skills:

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • B.E. and/or MBA from an institute of repute inStatistics or Finance.

  • 12 years of experience in Data Management and/orAnalytics in a Global Organisation.

  • Excellent verbal and written English communicationskills and demonstrated experiences communicating across diverse cultures,teams and regions

  • Ability, as exhibited from past experiences, tobuild and explain a robust data management operating model and focused culture

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Data Management and Analytics inmultinational corporations

  • Experience in SAP

  • Formal degree or qualification in Analytics

  • Formal certification in Data Management
