This position ensures compliance of sustainability standards and practices for the Latin American Palm business, according to Cargill’s Palm policy as well as Roundtable Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). Position will collaborate with the Palm Origination team working as a liaison between suppliers and customers to ensure best practices and lead sustainability implementation projects.

  • Development of RSPO and/or Cargill Compliant supply chain to serve customer needs (Promotion of RSPO standards at mill level, development of financing models with the mills)

  • Implementation of the global palm sustainability strategy in LATAM countries (Traceability, supplier assessments and workshops, follow-up on supplier action plans) with the support of the global palm sustainability lead.

  • Coordination of supplier grievances with the support of Corporate Affairs, the grievance coordinator and global palm sustainability lead. Develop time bound action plans with suppliers and monitor progresses incl. crisis management. Ensure connection and synergies with other Product Lines’s sustainability practices within CASC SA.

  • Implementation of local palm sustainability project established at a global palm level (eg: smallholders projects)


Required Qualifications

  • University Degree.

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience working in sustainability roles.

  • Understanding of sustainability issues, preferably related to agricultural raw materials and their supply chains.

  • Experience working with regulatory systems for compliance and or working with external audit agencies and / or standard bodies.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Independent, structured and organized

  • Proactive who shows ability to multitask

  • Strong communication skills
