The Production Leadposition is responsible for the daily operation of the production line that isassigned. Production Leads are requiredto have a basic understanding of the tasks being performed by employees ontheir specified production line and are expected to assist the supervisor inmaintaining all required compliance with safety, food safety, and HR relatedtopics. Production Lead positions workin a cold environment doing a variety of tasks such as handling raw meat,operating computerized labeling and scale systems, operating forklifts, highreach equipment, and pallet jacks, and cutting raw meat using different tools. These roles require candidates to wear personal protective equipment and workwithin food safety requirements in order to deliver a safe product to theconsumer.
-Compliance with all safety and food safety, and HRprograms, policies, and regulations
-Utilize Scorecards, Action Registries, ProcessFlow Management, and other initiatives in my area
-Focus on individuals and help them achieve theirgoals at this facility. Train and develop others.
-Recognize stakeholders for the work that they do
-Meet deadlines, be accountable and always set apositive example
-Be customer focused and strive to produce thequality products they desire
-Ability to lead others through conflictresolution, engagement, and coaching
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Abilityto read, write, and speak English
Previous leadership experience in manufacturing environment
Bi-lingual (English & one of the following: Spanish, Burmese or French)
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Prior industrial meat industry work experience with a like competitor
Prior work history in a production background that deals with speed and repetition
Previous Cargill experience
Work history in the last 12 months
