The Plant Operator’s duties may include, but are not limited to:
Operation of silo, mini bulk and related equipment
Preventative maintenance on bridge belt, magnets, screeners, silo and bulk loading equipment, and mini bulk equipment including replacing belts and screens.
Responsible to carry out Master Sanitation Schedule and assure the bulk and mini bulk loading operations meet or exceed FSSC 22000 and GMPs at all times.
Inspect, clean out, and wash the interior of all hopper cars to meet required standards for shipment of product.
Inspect all bulk trucks prior to loading to assure proper cleanliness.
Work with Procurement at maintaining the proper inventory of bags and the food safety of the bags kept on hand.
Load rail cars and trucks with quality products specified on loading ticket, following comments section of order.
Assure that proper counts on product loaded, including product codes and number in code, are listed on loading ticket, and in SAP system.
Use SAP and warehouse management system to scan loads in and out of inventory, unload receiving items as needed, locate oldest product for stock rotation, fill orders and remove product from orders. Assure product is rotated on a first-in, first-out basis.
When necessary, clean out rail cars and prepare for loading, using safe car inspection procedures, inspect all carriers, rail and truck to insure our minimum safety and quality standards are met.
Assure all loads are clean, stretchwrapped and covered prior to storing and use proper storage methods. Operate and maintain stretchwrappers and top sheeters.
Maintain good housekeeping and GMPs at all times.
Perform all tasks in a safe manner and in compliance with Cargill safety standards and policies.
