Position Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Technician you will be responsible for effectively reporting information on food safety practices and ensuring that these practices are consistent with Cargill's food safety policies, the client's requirements and the requirements of the Canadian Inspection Agency Of Food (CFIA).

The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday - 3h30 - 12h30 (evenings)

Principal Accountabilities:

20% - Enforce good manufacturing and hygiene practices as well as HACCP standards.

20% - Monitor activities related to HACCP standards.

20% - Conduct lifetime studies on manufactured products.

20% - Train employees for all that involves quality assurance.

20% - Respect the safety standards of the establishment.

Qualifications

Required skills:

  • 3 years experience working in food processing or dietetic technology

  • Experience in the food or regulatory field

  • Knowledge of the HACCP system/standards

  • Ability to work to work in a cool environment

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred skills:

  • Ability to write reports and improve procedures

  • Strong decision-making skills
