This role is a key resource that develops, maintains and improves management, financial and corporate reporting models and tools for Cotton US within Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain North America (CASCNA). Supports quarterly CRP process, internal and external audits, budgeting, monitor close process and streamline processes for continuous improvement. To accomplish this, the person in this role works closely with other A&F leaders, FP&A team, FSS teams as well as functional and commercial leads across the globe.
60% Accounting and Finance:
Develop, maintain and improve management, financial and corporate reporting models and tools.
Partner with key stakeholders to understand reporting requirements. Develop reports to meet business user needs in support of business decisions.
Ensures proper data governance for business activities and proper alignment with data standards
Build strong partnerships with business partners and collaborate on financial reconciliations and problem solving across various teams including product lines, functions, regions, FP&A, FSS and Enterprise.
Support quarterly CRP process partnering with A&F Decision Support team
Monitor month end close process supporting the business (product line and regions) and FSS teams.
Active participant in the budgeting process in partnership with FP&A.
Perform monthly admin cost centers review.
Facilitate internal and external audits and compliance reviews
Escalates control deficiencies to the Controls and Compliance Leader
Manage tax and compliance reporting for the business, including FATCA, DISC.
30% Continuous Improvement:
Collaborative across business process (PRTP, OTSC, RTR) owners and providers to streamline processes and ensure accountability for accurate business financial statements.
Monitor and assess key process and business metrics for financial reporting units to ensure end-to-end process effectiveness
Leverage process and technology team to improve effectiveness and efficiency in financial reporting.
10% Other Duties As Assigned:
Build capability and business knowledge with shared service partners
Manage to outcomes by holding partners able
Champion and lead change management activities for finance activities and processes
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting/Finance
5 years accounting or financial reporting experience
Proficiency in JDE, and mark-to-market accounting.
Attention to detail & deadline drive
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to communicate, influence and build trust across multiple stakeholder groups
Understanding of US GAAP (general accounting principles)
Demonstrated flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity

Understanding of the cotton or similar agricultural business. Grain, Oilseeds processing and/or Crop Input business
Profiency in ITAS or other trading applications.
