Your Opportunity

Our Dimboola, Victoria site is seeking an experienced leader to join their team, in the role of Site Supervisor. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this is a busy; hands on role in a capacity that would require you to be a hands-on leader, with the ability to plan, focus on safety, operational efficiency, people and reliability.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing operational origination site leading operational employees, casuals and contractors

  • Leading the execution of risk management systems and programs for both EH&S & FSQR and inventory management programs at sites ;

  • Be responsible for site operation on high efficiency issues (operational expenses control, energy reduction indexes, grain quality control including shrink management)

  • Taking an active role with the maintenance & reliability program for the sites;

  • Assisting in site operation on capital management (CAPEX), including base level improvements projects following standardized specifications and policies.

  • Be responsible for site operation on people talent, including operational training programs, engagement improvement, performance management, individual development plans, successional plan management

  • Work with other site supervisors/operations coordinators to align with business unit plan look for plant effectiveness and projects

Qualifications

A natural leader, you bring with you proven supervisory skills and experience. Hands on and willing to roll up your sleeves, you will also bring:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience working in a similar role (specifically in grain operation and leadership role)

  • Expansive technical knowledge of grain quality-handling and projects management

  • Reliability and quality focus capabilities

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;

  • An ability to work in a changing work environment focussed on reliability and quality (including working outdoors);

  • Ability to supervise employees and administer operational training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

  • Ability to prioritise

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • An ability to travel to other sites;

  • Willingness to work flexible hours when needed to meet customer requirements

  • An ability to administer operational training on Work Instructions (WIs);

  • Have secondary education
