Job location : This position will be preferably located in a Food Ingredients & Bio-Industrial location in Europe

Major Tasks

The “FSQR Auditor ” is responsible for the planning and execution of the Cargill FSQR (Food safety, Quality & Regulatory) audits.

It includes audits at locations, external manufacturers and suppliers. The audits are conducted at the right detailed level and efficiency so to ensure Quality and Food Safety Management Systems are well implemented and compliant with Cargill requirements, FSQR certification schemes and the legislation. The aim of these audits is also to drive improvement in the businesses and suppliers & external manufacturers by identifying best practices and needs for improvement.

This role will give recommendations towards the local top management and FSQR business leads in order to have the plants 24/7 audit ready.

The “FSQR Auditor ” will deliver timely and consistent audit reports, supporting tools, training materials, guidance documents, or any other support in order to meet the objectives.

Planning and conducting Cargill FSQR audits at different locations within FIBI EMEA with the aim of evaluating and driving compliance with Cargill requirements and identify opportunities for continuous improvement:

  • The audit planning to be kept up-to-date and to contain relevant information to follow the auditing process.

  • Consistent reporting with audit findings, proposals for improvement and identification of good practices

  • Evaluation and approval of corrective & preventive action planning provided by the auditee after the audit.

  • Ensuring appropriate communication with the auditees on findings and recommendations.

  • Tracking progress of actions in order to drive improvement, to ensure Cargill auditing rules (including timely delivery report and availability of audit reports in Cargill system) are respected.

Gather audit findings from reports and analyze them in order to drive improvement:

  • Search for clusters, priorities, developments and trends so to pro-actively provide significant and useful information to the FSQR Leadership team

  • The deliverables can be in the form of analysis reports leading to either projects, training sessions, guidance documents, clarification in CoE Information calls and/or calibration calls for auditors, proposal for update of internal policy manuals.


  • Lead the auditor calibration calls for all qualified auditors within EMEA

  • Support other auditors in the scoring of non-conformities detected during an audit

  • Collaborate with peers to share knowledge and best practices in the area of auditing


  • Define, review and measure KPI that show progress on the compliance status of the plants


  • Auditing skills and experience

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Pharmacy or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing plant

  • High Plant Manufacturing Quality Knowledge - Demonstrates practical knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations

  • Good knowledge of EU food and feed legislation

  • High HACCP Knowledge/Implementation - Applies HACCP to identify and control food safety hazards.

  • In depth knowledge of different food and feed certification schemes and standards like ISO 9000, ISO TS 22002, GMP , EFISC, BRC, AIB, etc.

  • Fluent English (spoken & written)

  • International experience

  • Overall strong communication & listening skills

  • Tenacity & persistence

  • Able to analyse information from various sources and present in a synthetic and intelligible manner

  • Decision making: demonstrates decisiveness and sound judgment

  • Ability to influence people not in reporting line.

  • Team player

  • Good understanding of cultural differences

  • Flexible to travel (up to 60%) within EMEA
