Position purpose:

The Group Manufacturing Excellence Manager is responsible to lead, deploy, and materialize the Cargill Manufacturing Excellence System within the Group(s). This includes the three value streams of Reliability Excellence, Production Excellence and Capital Excellence.

You will be charged with fostering a culture of continuous improvement to enable the operations organization to exceed its goals and objectives creating sustainable tangible business results.

Main Responsibilities

  • Accountable for manufacturing excellence activities and governance.

  • Responsible for setting strategic/tactical vision, direction, long-term solution execution and process standards governance for the Group related to the value streams of Manufacturing Technologies and Capital Excellence-Engineering, including cross-functional collaboration as well as regional oversight.

  • Establish and enforce core technology / engineering domain area performance targets and goals governance to assess solutions, program effectiveness as well as overall business impact, and to track performance

  • Establish, deploy and materialize Continuous Improvement efforts to increase Production Excellence at the sites.

  • Directly influence and through direct/indirect reports establish, deploy and materialize the Maintenance & Reliability model and strategic delivery ensuring higher standards.

  • Partner with Group Leadership to develop preventive approaches for meeting efficiency standards, to recommend process improvement, and to develop business cases for improved operational effectiveness methods and leading practices.

  • Overall responsibility for ensuring effective technical and manufacturing Technologies and engineering support to the Group locations for long standing operations as well as project engineering oversight/advanced support to highly complex base/ non base capital projects.



  • University Degree in Engineering (Chemical/ Process or Mechanical).

  • Comprehensive and advanced knowledge and experience on Plant Operations (Production, M&R, COE/PDG/MTL, Engineering).

  • Solid background (10 years) in operating or designing large scale food or chemical manufacturing processes.

  • Proven record in having deployed Plant Operations and/or Manufacturing Excellence strategic programs delivery.

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment, in an oilseeds crush and/or refinery business is a plus.

  • Certification specific knowledge (i.e. Stable Ops, CI, Lean,) - LEAN/Six Sigma.

  • Deep understanding of industrial environment and continuous production processes.

  • Languages: fluent in English (writing & speaking); other EU languages valued.
