Job location(s): Multiple locations in Europe are possible.

Travel: Frequent travelling throughout Europe is required (50% of time).

Main purpose is to provide the regional organization (Cargill Starches, Sweeteners & Texturizers, serving 15 plants in EMEA) with manufacturing technology expertise in Sweeteners & Polyols.

Focus areas include technical ownership and deployment support expertise for Sweeteners & Polyols.

You will facilitate deployment and execution of institutionalized practices for both sustainment and improvement of CSST EMEA production lines operational performance. This will be done by performance monitoring analysis at regional level and direct support to plant local teams to deploy implementation improvement projects.

Major Tasks

  • Deploy and enforce best/leading practices, as well as direct program administration for Sweeteners & Polyols.

  • Establish the appropriate methodologies to follow up and ensure performance monitoring and dialogues are maintained with locations in respect to KPI’s.

  • Execute on Plant Audits on process performance to support identification of areas of prioritization and ensure sound technology proposal in form of process, methods, equipment, improvement areas.

  • Providing physical on site 2nd line troubleshooting support to locations within the region.

  • Keep abreast of emerging Technology development and translate technology application needs into clear and concise specifications that can be transferred and acted upon across the CSST Regional and local teams (i.e. Operations, CI, M&R, Engineering, EHS, Process Safety Management, FSQR, Automation Systems and Controls, etc.).

  • Anticipate and plan for future technology needs and ensure adequate feed-back loops between local and global organizations.

  • Ensure Global CSST group best practices in Manufacturing Technologies (MTTP, CMO, SOP, etc.) are owned and embedded in the way the whole Region is operating.

  • Enforce standard work in form of support and delivery of SOP (Standard Operating procedures) translated from higher level documentation.

  • Responsible for the appropriate documentation and dissemination of findings, as well as transfer/application of knowledge regionally.

  • Primary focal point for the local Manufacturing Technology engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Chemical/ Process) or similar.

  • CI certification in Lean-Six Sigma methodologies (Kaizen, SSDM, GB/BB, etc.) highly preferred.

  • 5 years’ experience in having deployed Manufacturing Technology projects, improvement processes and deployment performance delivery in a multinational company.

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment, chemical/starchy industry is a plus.

  • Proven ability to stay abreast of best practices and implementing / executing into action.

  • Leadership skills: great influencing (without exerting the authority)/communication skills.

  • Comprehensive and advanced knowledge of specific Technology process.

  • Deep understanding of industrial environment and continuous production processes.

  • Highly knowledgeable and credibility factual based type of individual.

  • Languages: fluent in English (writing & speaking); other EU languages valued.
