The Senior Deployment Services Analyst is an advanced data professional who provides leadership in project deployment services, including data conversion, UAT coordination, and project cut-over activities. They are responsible for all deployment related activities for one or more projects.
This role has the in-depth knowledge of data and deployment processes to be able to educate, partner and support BU teams. This includes cut-over planning, cut-over execution, UAT planning, UAT execution, data mapping, data construction, data validation and resolution of data deficiencies. The individual in this role will partner closely with the project teams to ensure that deployment services are aligned with the needs of the project and that data is being effectively usable by the business.
This position requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both proactive project and expectation management.
55% PROJECT EXECUTION AND VALUE REALIZATION
Participates in business readiness, requirements gathering and solution assessment phases of a SAP project for deployment services through post go live support
Understand and document business requirements for relevant data objects to support the Data Conversion design team for their work
Facilitation of data mapping sessions with project and BU data teams and document field mappings so that value mappings, and transformation rules can be incorporated into a functional conversion designs by the designers of the respective SAP Instance
Oversee the data resolution activities for defects or gaps identified from validation reports and readiness reports and ensure they are resolved by the BU or through the Instance Data Conversion role for each data load cycle
Prepare and validate Cut-Over plans for project
Supervise the cut-over resources during go-live and ensure that tasks are performed correctly, in the correct order and dependencies are respected.
Actively work with the deployment team members to answer data mapping or integration questions during each phase of the deployment cycle
Accountable to ensure completion of legacy to SAP Field Mapping Documents in partnership with the BU data team
Accountable for reviewing Data Readiness against entry and exit criteria for Mock Loads
Validation of converted/constructed data with BU and Data teams
Tracks and monitors overall data conversion progress and manages issue resolution
Tracks risks, developing mitigation plans, and escalate as appropriate
Oversee User Acceptance Testing to ensure all scenarios are tested correctly, defects logged and passed top appropriate teams.
40% BUSINESS PARTNERING AND RELATIONSHIP & SERVICE MANAGEMENT
Actively partners with Deployment Managers to ensure Data Conversion and Cut Over is defined & incorporated into project plans
Educate the BU data teams regarding the approach, the process and the tools of data cleansing, data field mapping, data reconciliation, data construction and data validation
Educate project team on Cut Over planning, execution, and time lines
Work with the Instance Data Conversion Advisor to show the BU data teams how to read, interpret and utilize data validation and readiness reports
Educate BU teams on how defects should be documented and partner together to ensure resolution

5 years of business experience
3 Prior conversion experience
Knowledge of at least one major SAP business process
Experience working on a global team
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and influence others
Demonstrated ability learn quickly and drive for a high degree of execution
Demonstrated ability to excel in ambiguous situations
Strategic thinking, prioritization, collaboration and problem solving skills
Work experience with Project Management Methodology, Tools and processes
Business fluency in English
Ability to travel up to 40%, varying by project cycles
