Position Purpose & Summary

Supervise, train and coach the local storeroom team to execute activities including issuing, receiving, cycle counts, kitting, repair spare parts, inventory management, shipping and delivery of parts/supplies.Ensure adequate inventory of parts and supplies in accord with inventory cycles.Conduct inventory analysis to solve inventory problems.Develop and implement inventory control procedures.Ensure scorecard metrics are executed on and develop action plans for any deficiencies identified.Implement best practices, support and drive action execution for best practice (Process Development Group) team at site level.Is the contact lead for site audits involving the storeroom.

Principal Accountabilities

  • 40%Supervise and coach/develop site Storeroom employees to execute location warehouse activities.Train and manage Storeroom team.

  • 20%Ensure location operational needs are met and procedures followed.Collaborate and educate location teams on controlled inventory practices and how it supports facility reliability and support site initiatives.

  • 20%Drive best practice (PDG) efforts at the site level.Identify, champion, and implement change and continuous improvement initiatives.Lead sub-teams to drive cross-site continuous improvement.

  • 10%Complete site storeroom metrics, identify gaps, develop plan and execute improvements.

  • 10%Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned (i.e. documenting procedures and policies, ASAP-related questions, lease/rented equipment, off-site storage, building management, budgeting, special projects, etc.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED.

  • 2 years MRO Inventory Controlprocurement experience (i.e. purchasing, inventory storeroom warehouse functions)

  • Proven working knowledge of procurement Inventory support software (i.e. ASAP, Maximo, SAP other)

  • Efficient working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet software (i.e. Word, Excel)

  • Identified leadership skill; ability to work independently with minimum direction, and ability to lead, motivate, and sustain a high-performing and highly-executing team.

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility in an ever changing business.

  • Ability to travel as needed to support business needs including other sites staffing shortages, start-up, expansion, floods, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

  • Working knowledge of Maintenance and Reliability processes (Planning, Scheduling, etc.)

  • Previous supervisory experience
