Description

Within formulation activities there are three diciplines. Operational formulation which is mainly production focused. Nutritional formulation which is customer focused and using books of requirements to create the best offer for our customers. Nutritional engineering is the customer focused formulation activity and is customer facing. It support the Mila1-4 and Aiden1-4 segments, is part of the key account teams and leading the nutritional dialogue with the nutritionists of customers

20% Creating best offer from as well nutritional and commercial perspective from scratch without pre-specified nutritional framework

10% In conjunction with purchasing, fill the pipeline (ideation) with new formulation opportunities, challenge actual used ingredients and seek for opportunities to replace

30% Lead the nutritional dialogues customer facing with their nutritionists

30% Champion CNS tools and implement CNS at customers

10% Train the trainer internally related to nutritional subjects (train nutritional formulation, TAS and TSM) and share best practices within the region

Nutritional knowledge combined with formulation experience is a sought after skill and a very useful basis for further (commercial) development within the company, although being a nutritional engineer is more a final stage in professionalism than meant to be as a pre-education for other roles

Qualifications

  • Passion for nutrition and formulation and it’s application at customers

  • Experience and willingness to develop skills within an international setting and multi-disciplinary/cultural teams

  • Achieving a standard of excellence within work processes and outcomes

  • Striving for high customer satisfaction

  • Taking ownership of work and following through

  • Industry interest

  • Entrepeneurial attitude

  • Academic degree (MSc) preferred in animal nutrition with a physiology/biochemistry focus, or BSc with proven and relevant experience

  • Nutritional formulation (>5years)

  • Proven capability to lead nutritional dialogue at customers (Mila/Aiden 1-4)

  • Proven passion for in depth nutritional themes

  • Proven ability to train the trainer related to nutritional subjects

  • Working across and with a variety of cultures

  • Knowledge of formulation of diets and rations to maximise performance

  • Able to assess the relative nutritional and economic value of raw materials

  • Able to understand client’s and end-users targets and objectives, and the specific needs of the market

  • Computer literate

  • Fluent in English

  • International travelling across the business will be part of the role (10% abroad)
