Considered emerging professionals in the supply chain planning space with developing knowledge to use under oversight in conducting medium complex activities. Responsible for coordinating one product or site with low impact on working capital, and short term outlook. This includes: supply chain planning operations, process development, planning & execution, customer & client interaction / business partnership, and systems/data management, reporting & analysis.
Efficient administration of production scheduling activities like Stock position management, VMI control & invoice backlog
Regular contact with outside parties (logistics services providers, carriers, Production Operators, and toll processors).
Support of the stock control process
Creation of daily plan for coming weeks with input from MTP, stock levels & orders
Daily provision of work orders to Manufacturing and Material Handling using scheduling tool
Daily channel capacity reviews. Makes plan in case of gaps, aiming to minimize cost to serve and impact to customers. Involves all relevant stakeholders in communication process.
Sales and Transfer Order scheduling
Daily allocation of product and stock management.
Execution of orders for Toll processing and shipments to external warehouses
Is responsible to avoid backlogs in ERP system
10% Supply Chain Planning Operations
Reviews channel capacity on a daily basis, and develops the plan in case of gaps in order to minimize cost to serve and impact to customers. Assists in communicating with all relevant stakeholders in the process using a basic understanding of supply chain planning practices and procedures.
May participate in and provide support to improvement projects and commitments requiring a basic understanding of supply chain planning practices and procedures.
Creates less complex internal/external benchmark reports and activities across.
Applies a basic understanding of supply chain planning practices and procedures to identify areas of improvement and cost management deficiencies to better equip team with efficient supply chain planning techniques and tools/systems.
Participation with key Operation Team contacts daily
Monitors daily output v plan and stock position updates – reporting daily
Sets stock levels and monitors inventory health for one product or site
70% Process Development Planning & Execution
With direct oversight, sets stock levels and monitors inventory health for one product or site, along with managing the shelf life of the products (e.g. perishable products).
Coordinates and reviews capacity of inventory in relation to demand of customer orders for one product or site
With direct oversight, coordinates and executes all forecasting processes. Provides input and support to processes, and works with stakeholders to explain and refine it. Activities include.
Resolves forecast-related issues
Optimizes order portfolio and capacity of one product or site with short term outlook
Inventory planning – up to 2 weeks out
Channel capacity forecasts
Material resource planning
S&OP supporting role
Uses developing knowledge of supply chain planning practices and procedures to execute sales and operations plans and other supply chain strategies with low impact to working capital.
10% Customert & client Interaction, Business Partnership
Organizes and consolidates plans created by internal stakeholders (e.g. sales, supply management, plant operations, T&L and procurement) to be reviewed with more senior members of the team on the impacts of their supply chain plan. This includes all aspects regarding costs, impact on capacity, logistics, and order release
Collaborates with peers in other BUs and/or externally (i.e. customers).
Supporting MTP ( Mid Term Planning ) process and execution
Provides support and executes on the evaluation and recommendation of common work processes, and improvement projects
Is a supporting driver of the continuous improvement process
Using a developing knowledge and supply chain planning practices and procedures, assists in tracking and creating reports on service level agreements for customers.
10% Systems / Data Management, Reporting & Analysis.
Responsible for maintaining and updating tools/systems and relationships that supports accurate supply planning, as well as other databases within the business related to shipments and inventory management items.
Provides complex data and support to the development of supply chain optimization and scenario management models to help analyze capacity and demand forecasts with low impact on working capital.
Tracks and analyzes KPIs (key performance indicators) for one product or site. Implements actions to improve best practices across team.
With some oversight, conducts ad hoc analysis and reports. For example: RFQ, tactical sourcing, budgeting, plan vs. actual, etc.
Limited travel to customers/other SSE sites.
Secondary education level or higher
Fluent in local language and good level of English (verbal and written)
Preferably basic knowledge of production scheduling and logistics processes
Excellent understanding on tools & systems supporting production cheduling processes (e.g. JDE One World)
PC literate (e.g. MS Office Suite)
Understanding of production processes
Basic understanding of product applications at customers
Hands-on problem solver
