Assistant Trade Flow Coordinator

Description

Trade Flow Function is an essential part of Trade and Structured Finance (TSF) global business. The position will be part of the TSF global trade flow coordination team that manages the global trade flow pool and allocation of trade flows to facilitate TSF structures. The position will play an active role in establishing and maintaining relationships with businesses.

Major Tasks

50% Trade flow execution:

  • Perform 1st review of shipping documentation

  • Preparation of documentation for TSF counterparties, TSF internal contracts and documentation, keying the deal in the system, shipping documentation verification

  • Ensure payment is made to the counterparties in line with TSF and Cargill SOG/SOP

30% Trade flow tracking:

  • Collation of business trade flow patterns/volume/details & involvement in coordinating flows that are available for TSF’s use. Daily update of Trade flow tracker, preparing reports on and providing trade flow details and volume projections to TSF traders

15% Allocation and execution of TSF transactions:

  • Preparation and/or review of TSF trade costings, contracts (based on approved templates) & instructions to Cargill businesses.

  • Ensure that tax & legal approvals and regulatory requirements for TSF structures & related trade flow patterns are taken into consideration, US/Local implications well understood and consistently applied

5% Projects / Special Tasks:

  • Automation of TF process/ maintenance of marcos /manuals for TSF

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Accounting and/or Finance or an equivalent professional degree

  • 0-2 years of working experience in trade finance and / or forwarding / trade execution

  • Strong in Ethics and Values, has Integrity and Trust

  • Very good PC skills

  • Strong analytical skills & keen acumen with numbers. Keen sense of details and ability to organize and analyze large volume of information for performing daily routine

  • Cognitive ability to understand concepts and to pick up technical knowledge required for the job

  • Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills, strong interpersonal skills - able to communicate effectively with peers, Cargill BU contacts, TSF traders and management at all levels

  • Strong internal control orientation, detail oriented, thoroughness and accuracy in work

  • Positive thinking and self starter.

  • Ability to perform under pressure, multi-task and cope with changing priorities

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and maintain composure while in negotiations, during conflict management or problem solving

  • Advanced MS Excel, working knowledge of marcos and VBA tools, macros writing (preferred)
