Cargill beef operates five Canadian facilities located in Ontario, Alberta and Quebec. In Alberta, the High River plant is a fully integrated beef processing facility where over 2,300 employees process 4500 head of cattle per day, and the Calgary Case Ready facility has over 350 employees serving national retailers and food service customers. In Ontario, the fully integrated Guelph beef facility employs over 820 employees and processes 1,800 head of cattle per day, while the Guelph Case Ready facility has over 600 employees. In Quebec, the Chambly Case Ready facility has over 500 employees serving national retailers and food service customers.

This position is a link between the Purchasing and Maintenance Departments.

Principal Accountabilities:

50% -Ensure all inventory is organized and accurate

-Maintain consistent and accurate cycle counts (packaging/maintenance)

-Maintain consumable stock and consignment stock with established vendor relationships.

25% -Perform all daily goods/service receipts as well as capital receipts as needed

-Ensure all deliveries reach proper location/department.

-Ensure all returns and deliveries get sent out daily

15% -Job kits maintained daily, updated, audited and posted

-Goods movements posted daily for all parts taken.

10% Assist technicians with parts requests and/or locations

Maintain a clean – clutter free environment always.


Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12 education

  • Previous Inventory Control experience

  • High level of organizational skills, ability to multi task, attention to detail, high level of accuracy, strong mathematical skills, ability to work in a fast-past demanding environment

  • Time management, excellent communication skills, detail oriented, able to prioritize, consistent with follow-up. Ability to lift 50 LBS

  • Must be legally to entitled to work for Cargill in Canad

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Education

  • Parts crib and Inventory Control experience preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft office programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Experience with SAP and AS400 preferred
