Position Overview -

The Multivac Department Superintendent will be responsible for all management responsibilities of operations in the assigned production area. This includes safety, production, engagement, environmental, costs, management, curstomers and quality.

  • Internal – facility leadership team, supervisors, leads, and production staff


  • Multi-lingual diverse workforce

Impact Area

  • This role will manage the performance of production within the largest deparment in this facility.

Principal Accountabilities

30% -Development and supervisor of direct and indirect reports (including managing safety and engagement) and peer with other facilities to establish plant policies.

20% - Develop strategies for operations of assigned area to include technical optimization of processes.

20% - Establish, implememnt and maintain area capital and operating budgets

25% - Oversee product quality to ensure total customer satisfaction. Interface with customers on plant visits and audits.

5% - Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of production management and supervisory experience

  • Working knowledge of Food Safety, OShA, and environmental regulations

  • Demonstrated team building, leadership and conflict resolution skills

  • Knowledge of basic HR practices, EEO, Guiding Principals, etc.

  • Ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal, presentation skills) at multiple levels of Cargill and customer organizations. Preferred Qualifications

  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish)

  • 4 year college degree

  • Previous retail meat knowledge/experience
