The role of the EHS Director is to lead the environmental, health, and safety efforts of all Cargill Premix and Nutrition (CPN) Russia facilities and activities with integrity, conviction, and courage. The scope includes both manufacturing (four production sites) and non-manufacturing ones (offices, sale teams).
This will be accomplished by exercising practical business knowledge and proactive approach to ensure both regulatory and corporate EH&S requirements are implemented.
The successful EHS Director will believe that aggressive goals can be achieved, identify what needs to be done, assess the degree of urgency and execute a plan of action.
Furthermore, this position is responsible for motivating, inspiring, and engaging others to achieve the right level of EH&S culture across CPN in Russia – according to Cargill standards.
Accountable for development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health and Safety management systems in the Russia. The objective is to sustain high performance and excellence in EHS, Re-assess Cargill Corporate EHS Rules and Policies relevant for CPN Russia locations during EHS audits and EHS meetings, Provide technical EHS advice and conduct EHS evaluations for major projects and major changes undertaken at CPN locations in Russia.
Ensuring that all local EHS-plans comply with regional, global enterprise and global Cargill plans and –goals (e.g. EHS Vision, EHS roadmap, LIFE-program, Corporate EHS goals).
Accountable for scheduling and conducting EHS audits at CPN Russia locations incl. reporting Facilitate accurate and timely reporting on: safety performance, incidents, resources and waste. Provide relevant EHS information to all locations. Organize and support risk assessments. Support full root cause analysis of all recordable incidents.
Identify, communicate and leverage EHS best practices generated from inspections and audits.
Organize and conduct EHS training seminars to support Corporate and CPN EMEA EHS requirements in Russian operations.
A ssist Russian locations with EHS issues relating to projects and major changes to ensure compliance with relevant standards, legislations and policies . Assure minimum CPN EMEA or Corporate requirements are in place, further develop and implement EHS best practices. Ensure buy-in of all sites when rolled out.
Assure sites are operating within their operational permit requirements. Provide support to sites to implement best practices. Support and assist sites to achieve a sustainable high EHS performance. Follow up of changes in legislations via Industry Federations-working groups).
Provide EMEA Regional EHS Team with professional support (e.g. participate in teamwork, attend meetings \conferences of the team).
Required Education, Experience, Skills
University / Bachelor Degree
5 years' occupational health and safety and environmental experience supported by specific training
5 years’ experience as senior professional in EHS
proved record of successful Brown Field transformation and Safety Culture change.
technical experience in Feed / Food operations
high level of written and spoken English and Russian languages.
Computer Technology, excellent Microsoft office, plant software, internet
