Technical Service Specialist CEE

Locations: Hamburg (Germany) or Krefeld (Germany) or Wrocław (Poland)

Position Purpose:

Responsible for the specific technical support as Technical Tag to direct customers and distributors in CEE, to build and defend business personally across all product lines and all applications for the CEE region and through their own project pipeline (NPSS, NBD, IO, IC & knowledge creation) supporting the Business Strategy and Product Line Plans.

Responsible for contributing to the identification of unmet needs, jobs to be done & opportunity spaces, to support the BU strategy.

Main responsibilities:

  • Talent Management

Ensure good manufacturing and EHS practices.

Build and execute own development plan in collaboration with line manager and MyHR.

Engage with and support the development of a motivated, coherent and collaborative high performing team.

Mentor and coach other staff as requested through the development plans.

  • Business Management

Build, manage and deliver on a prioritized and performing project portfolio in Salesforce to build and defend value.

Manage and deliver on goals agreed with TSL and direct manager, to support the BU & PL strategies

Leverage the know-how generated from all projects (search and re-apply).

Build/contribute to the building of technical solutions (internal and external).

Contribute to identification of the best opportunities for each BU and Cargill in general, providing innovative and differentiated technologies.

Contribute to the development of new applications/ranges etc.

Support Cargill’s intellectual property strategy.

  • Customer Partnership

Provide technical support to and build relationships with existing and new customers according to the catalogue of services and segmentation, to create value for both the customer and CTS as the Technical Tag (TT), and as support when not the TT.

All customer partnering/support is to be done in collaboration with the commercial team, and specifically the Account Manager (AM) when named.

  • Technology Leader

Develop own technical knowledge reg. ingredients, applications, capabilities and skills, support technical support responsibilities including equipment, reagents, ingredients and functionality.

Network with fellow workers within the BU (EMEA and AMCAS) and across BUs to share common / best practices and to leverage technology and knowledge (internal and external).

Network with external Center of Expertise and Category Industry Associations.

Contribute to the BU & PL strategies through reporting market and business trends, unmet needs, and opportunities.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Degree in (Food) Science, Technology or Engineering.

  • 5 years of industry experience in category related activities. Minimum 5 years’ experience of providing technical support.

  • Experience at building competitive advantage through the use of the organization’s technical capabilities, and by providing product innovation and other creative solutions.

  • Demonstrable success in networking/ collaboration / building relationships (internal and external / cross functional and multi-cultured teams).

  • Technical expertise in B2B industry covering relevant ingredients for the category.

  • Extensive category technology expertise and networking in category application segments.

  • Technical knowledge and experience in Hydrocolloids, Starch, Lecithins and Functional systems in food use.
