Description

Principal Accountabilities :

  • Understand the project and Lead Process related activities wrt budget, schedule and EHS compliance. Lead / Manage the Process area including Manufacuring Technology. This includes identifying best practices and opportunities where they can be applied. Develop and manage the design and operational requirements for the functional area against corporate standards and new processes/tools. Assist PDG or functional leader in long-term planning and team organization Responsible for business and process metrics for manufacturing part.

  • Designing inherently safe processes and technology that will enable compliance with Corporate Food Safety and Regulatory Affairs requirements and customer requirements

  • Developing material and energy balances, other process design components and control technologies that will be used to assess options for minimizing environmental impacts and maximizing efficiency opportunities and regulatory compliance obligations

  • Developing a commercially viable manufacturing process and transferring to operations during startup

  • Incorporating all manufacturing technology process best practices

  • Robust representation of the project’s technology in the Conceptual and Process Design Package deliverables

  • Preparing the deliverables: Technology Transfer Package and Technology Startup Plan/Report

  • Validating the achievement of technology performance during startup

  • Identifying, documenting and communicating lessons learned to the appropriate functions

  • Manage third party resources (e.g. Fabrication contractors, automation integrators from Process side).

  • Manage / review periodic performance information and compile reports to share across the enterprise and drive improvement. Evaluate and use this data to execute previous accountability. Create and maintain corporate engineering standards.

  • Create innovative solutions for process improvements that can be utilized within Industrial Specialties. Manage and review bid package development and contractor selection for work to be completed. Utilize corporate project management tools for communications and tracking progress. Capital project portfolio management.

  • Read, understand the drawings & implement it at the site. Inspection of incoming material is one of the added responsibility.

  • Utilize corporate task management tools to provide a systematic approach for the management of tasks related to the process or discipline of expertise. Be a site leader to help champion initiatives to improve business performance and facility culture.

  • Leading with a zero injury expectation

  • Implementing safe work processes during startup

  • Developing and executing a startup plan for the equipment and processes, which includes a schedule (aligned with the project schedule), required resources and required standard operating procedures

  • Developing and executing a training plan for operational personnel in conjunction with the operations/production lead

  • Documenting the results from the performance testing completed

  • Identifying project modifications needed to achieve performance requirements and executing project modifications as requested

  • Turning the processes over to operations

  • Identifying, documenting and communicating lessons learned to the appropriate functions

  • Providing operational safety hazards inherent to the project

  • Defining the operational root cause for the performance gap leading to this project

  • Providing operational input to assist in identifying technology options and selecting the solution

  • Providing operating costs, raw material and energy costs

  • Providing the operability requirements in engineering design reviews

  • Coordinating and preparing for the Operational Readiness review

  • Developing operational procedures and training operational personnel in conjunction with the startup lead

  • Identifying, documenting and communicating lessons learned to the appropriate functions

Qualifications

Education, Experience & Skills :

  • Bachelor degree (Chemical Engg/ Oil Technology)

  • Project management skills and the ability to work within and improve upon processes / systems.

  • High level of organization, communication, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to update and troubleshoot a range of relevant functional systems.

  • Ability to read and update mechanical schematics.

  • Work well in a team or individual environment and be a self-starter.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with minimum supervision and meet deliverables.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost and employee relations.

  • Ability to translate requirements into solutions

  • Ability to travel up to 5-10%.

  • Local person, speaking local language

  • Knowledge of reliability centered process, planning and scheduling.

  • Adequate knowledge of Chemical Processes, P&IDs, related work toward pump selection, tanks, piping etc .

  • Knowledge of respective manufacturing technologies

  • Must have an understanding of continuous and batch process control strategies

Education :

Engineering Degree/ Technology

Experience :

5-6 years experience in Process Project & Operations
