a. Creation of sales forecast which will be used as basis in the Demand and Operations Planning (D&OP)
b. Manage supply and inventory of Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM) and Finished Goods (FGs), ensures that these are systematically allocated and delivered to toll manufacturers, plant, and facilities complete in quantity, in good quality condition, on the most economical and timely basis.
c. Continuous improvement of sales forecasting processes and systems
1. Sales Forecast
Prepare background information to support sales forecasting
Develop statistical forecasts
Prioritize the forecasts (Develop the rules and methods for prioritizing forecasts – based on business priority and forecasters’ ability to improve forecast accuracy)
Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to integrate market intelligence into the forecasts
Prepare and support the Forecast Review process
Measure and report forecast accuracy
Lead root-cause analysis into major forecast variances
Lead initiatives to improve forecast accuracy
Develop and monitor the rules for “consuming the forecasts” and accepting orders
Work with the New Product Development team to forecast sales of new products
Monitor and report on significant variances between sales forecasts, budgets and business plans
Coordinate with production planners in handling exceptions
Ensure that the sales forecasting systems are used effectively
Provide input to the development of inventory policies and parameters
Develop Standard Operating Procedures for the sales forecasting processes
2. Demand and Supply Inventory Management
Works closely with Strategic Pricing as to ingredient plan and Operation as to product availability. Executes demand plan as to supply side. Schedules delivery of ingredients. Communicates requirements and delivery schedules to suppliers. Coordinates inter-warehouse transfer to fleet and warehouse operations. Ensures that slow and non-moving inventory will be communicated to all concerns for immediate actions. Make and communicates game plan to lower down DSI. Maximize use of LRT for effective stock transfers and scheduling of deliveries.
3. Production Planning
Communicate to production the requirements. Review production scheduling. Give information to production as to customer segmentation. Check and challenge MS/MO Made-to-Stock/Made-to-Order.
4. Administration and Reporting
Ensures all documents pertaining to demand and supply planning are accurate, legit and well kept. Strict compliance to all regulatory requirements in importation. Evaluates supplier’s performance. Accurate forecasting and reporting of required data as to supply/inventory management.
Graduate of any 4 or 5 years business course, preferably Industrial Engineering (IE) graduate
At least 5 years of related work experience in supply chain/demand and supply planning/inventory management
Demonstrate competence in analytics (numeric/data processing and interpretations) inventory management.
Knowledge on forecasting system/software is an advantage.
Good planning and execution skills.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both internal and external customers.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Requires analytical, decision making and presentation skills.
Computer literate and proficient in using Microsoft Office especially excel.
