Position Purpose & Summary

Cargill Case Ready, part of the Cargill Protein Enterprise, is a customer facing business who works directly with

strategic customers to produce a consumer packaged product. Cargill Beef/ Case Ready in Marshall, MO, currently has an opening for an Operations Supervisor.The successful candidate will be required to provide leadership and coaching for employees in Marshall, Missouri. The successful candidate will have to meet key targets in the areas of employee safety, turnover, department costs, customer satisfaction and production. To meet department goals, the Supervisor will be responsible for effective employee relations, adhering to annual budgets, work process improvement, downtime and follow up for process execution and other duties as required. This supervisor will execute and follow up on safety plans. This position will report to Operations Superintendent.

Principal Accountabilities

  • 60% - Development, supervision and safety of direct and indirect reports.

  • 20% - Develop strategies for operations of assigned area to include technical optimization of processes.

  • 10% - Oversee product quality to ensure total customer satisfaction.

  • 10% - Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in a related field and/or 2 years experience in a leadership role

  • Must be able to read and comprehend materials as applies to work task (ie: makesheets, yield sheets, safety manuals, product specifications, etc)

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)

  • Open to learning to technology

  • Demonstrated organizational skills

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and coach to obtain positive results

  • Ability to administer company policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/ Spanish

  • Labor Relations Experience
