Job location(s): Mechelen, Belgium

Major Tasks:

  • Lead and enrich the global strategy of the Food Starch business line in alignment with the Business Line Manager and considering input from other stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Technical resources, Product Specialist, Operation etc.…).

  • Deliver on key Business Development projects in EMEA on related business line that have been validated by the Business Line.

  • Manage the short and midterm business plan execution through championing and leading for food starch the IBP process, balancing price and volume/capacity utilization, development and leadership of the pricing policy, execution of business development projects and coordination with the entire value chain to achieve financial targets and ensure we achieve desired customer satisfaction levels.

  • Participate in market and competitive intelligence process to ensure proper knowledge for the business is collected, shared, and used to maximize our competitive position.

  • Develop business Line tactical Plan and 3 years business plan together with Business Director.

  • Develop commercial plans in support capital expansion or other Commitment requests via participation as project manager or commercial lead positions in those projects.

  • Deliver on key Business Development projects in EMEA on related business line that have been validated by the Business Line.

  • Take Sponsorship, Lead or be part of working team for specific Food Starch Projects (adhoc).

Qualifications

  • University degree in Marketing, Food Technology, Food Engineering or related discipline is mandatory, M.B.A is a plus.

  • Solid experience in Business line management and/or Business Development in similar Food industry desired.

  • Financial background and/or business management experience of a full P&L

  • Sales, supply chain, or technical/operations background with Starchy or Texturizing products are a plus.

  • Prior sales & leadership experience

  • Interest and ability to work and travel internationally, up to 50%

  • Strong financial skills/experience/education are a must. (P&L understanding, investment analysis, cost accounting, etc)

  • Negotiation, presentation, project management.

  • Problem solving & analytical skills/experience

  • Leadership: proven ability to lead a team to accomplish goals.

  • Language skills: Fluent in English and language ability with another European language is a plus.
