Position Purpose & Summary

This position is responsible for project management of the downstream processes in the NouriTech facility. They will interact directly with an EPC contractor to ensure the facility is built to the agreed upon specifications adhering to schedule and budget.

Principal Accountabilities

30% Perform activities to evaluate and manage the detailed engineering and design of the EPC contractor. Develop expertise of area equipment and systems. Develop and maintain schedules and budgets in area of responsibility. Understand key performance measures of the facility including energy consumption, chemical usage, production throughput, and product yield. Responsible for transfer of this information to operations team following facility startup.

15% Responsibility for development of URS for area of responsibility.

10% Assist in development of training material and SOPs

10% Provide input on bid package development, bid package award, and contractor selection/management.

15% Construction management in coordination with EPC contractor.

15% Assist in commissioning and start-up support to operations and assist operations with production management early in facility operations.

5% Other duties as assigned.



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Biosystems Engineering

  • 4 or more years of production management and/or project engineering experience

  • Experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and communicating goals, objectives, and accomplishments to a broad audience.

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in High Hazard Processes and Process Safety Management

  • Experience in separations unit operations, spray drying, solids handling equipment, palletizing, or shipping container loading.

  • Experience in contractor and/or engineering firm management.
