Position Purpose & Summary

This position will be responsible for hiring and training staff members to operate the NouriTech facility in Memphis. Following the hiring and training process, this position has overall management responsibilities of operations in the NouriTech facility. This includes production, safety, environmental, costs, management, customers, and quality.

Principal Accountabilities


60% Hire and establish training programs for supervisors, engineers, FSQR team members, M&R team members, operations technicians, and administrative staff.

20% Establish SOPs for the ongoing operations of the NouriTech facility

15% Support commissioning efforts of the NouriTech facility

5% Other duties as assigned


40% Development and supervision of direct and indirect reports (coaching, PMP’s). Work with peers similar fermentation businesses in establishing consistent personnel and plant policies.

20% Oversee product quality to ensure total customer satisfaction. Oversee production of facility to budgeted targets.

20% Develop strategies for operation and optimization of the NouriTech facility. This involves working with applicable Manufacturing Technology leads.

15% Establish, implement, and maintain area capital and operating budgets.

5% Other duties as assigned.



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline

  • 7 or more years of combined experience between operations management and/or project management

  • 5 or more years production management and supervisory experience

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 or more years of working knowledge of Food/Feed Safety, OSHA, and Environmental regulations

  • Experience with continuous improvement and maintenance and reliability processes (RCA, 5S, 5Y, Kaizen, Six Sigma)

  • Experience developing and/or deploying stable ops programs

  • 1 or more years of Fermentation experience

  • 1 or more years of High Hazard Process and/or Process Safety Management experience

  • Experience with SAP
