The core purpose of LATAM Regional Coordinator is to manage the BS reconciliation process and maintain regionally-required information for month end close task management for the LATAM region.This includes monitoring status, reviewing metrics, and training end users, coordinating peer reviews, resolving data issues, and identifying process improvements.This role will work closely with the BS Reconciliation & Month End Close Global coordinators. This role would primarily report to a CBS RTR Supervisor and will have dotted reporting line to a RTR GPO Architect
- Manage Month End Process
Manage the monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation process and ensure that key controls and reconciliations are carried out per the established timelines.
Provide assistance on the guidelines and ensure full compliance across all users of BS Reconciliation & ME Close.
Coordinate a peer & quality review process to identify issues and risks.
Ensure a robust training program for new and existing users is implemented for BS Reconciliation & ME Close.
Manage regional requests to update month end close task list (receipt, disposition with Global MEC Coordinator, response).
Manage regional metrics and dashboards via Power BI; administer changes as needed.
Act as the point of contact for A&F users for any Power BI security or training requests.
Manage and resolve escalated issues or conflicts, as appropriate, ensuring prompt and professional resolution.
Support a simple and effective communication process to users & stakeholders.
- Maintain Runbook
Maintain Master Data in Runbook related to users and assignment of users to Responsibility groups & Runbook Areas.
Maintain any regionally-required informational fields on month end tasks
Partner with Global IT and/or vendor on systems enhancements, as needed.
- Monitor Data Integrity
Assist the Global Balance Sheet Reconciliation Coordinator identifying errors while loading data from JDE to SAP.
Coordinate with appropriate teams to address and resolve issues properly and on time e.g. Global IT, business teams, Wipro.
Partner with Global IT to ensure technology and data architectures and principles are complied with.
- Process Improvement / Standardization
Identify action opportunities to reduce complexity, promote best practices, and provide focus on issues.
Foster continuous improvement in design and delivery to enable efficiency and effectiveness gains. Drive on-going process improvements e.g. IT enhancement suggestions, centralization, training module.
5 Years process and / or accounting operations experience
Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification in Accounting or IT, required.
Strong ability to influence others, building credibility with peers and key stakeholders
Experience with business process and process improvement methodology, modeling and tools
Strong verbal, writing and presentation skills
Experience working with matrixed teams without direct supervisory responsibility
Experience with SAP & JDE applications essential
Comfortable in a fast paced and changing environment
Articulate and effective communication skills with an appreciation for cultural dynamics
Demonstrates strong analytical skills, able to investigate problems, find solutions, and determine best approach to resolution
Experience in the Record to Report Process
Demonstrable background in SAP Modules particularly FICO
Intermediate Excel skills
Experience working with teams in other countries and people from other cultures
