The Talent & Performance COE (TPCOE) Senior OD Consultant , in partnership with the Global OD Leader and OD team, is responsible for developing the Cargill strategy, methodology, and solutions for the various OD practices areas; including: organization structure (org. alignment and org. design), leadership team effectiveness, HR MADJV, Employee Experience (Performance Management, Employee Engagement, and Recognition), and culture assessment. These solutions must effectively address business and function priorities, assess gaps, and drive organization performance. In addition, the Senior OD Consultant is responsible for thought leadership and capability building in HR for the same practice areas.
This position is also responsible for defining the Cargill transformation agenda with the Cargill Executive Team, HR Leadership Team (HRLT), and Enterprise/Function leadership. This means having a view into the large-scale change portfolio for Cargill and requires leveraging subject-matter expertise, experience, and the ability to build key stakeholder relationships. Providing overall leadership and direction is critical to partnering with the HR Leadership Team, Global HR Solutions (GHRS), and Business HR (BHR) colleagues to translate the Cargill transformation agenda into solutions and specific interventions to progress the organization toward the desired state.
The successful candidate draws on extensive business knowledge and continues to learn and engage in dialogue internally and externally to ensure OD strategies, methodologies and solutions are business relevant, and that capabilities are built in HR, and ultimately within the organization. He/she possesses a high level of thought leadership, business acumen, pragmatism, global understanding, change leadership and agility with a proven track record of success leading large-scale organization change activities for a diverse global enterprise.
50%Develop and deploy the Cargill OD strategies, methodologies and solutions, provide thought leadership, and build HR capability in these practice areas.
Measurement and reporting of key performance indicators (KPI’s, business results and client satisfaction) and a continuous improvement mindset
Refresh, deploy and govern the OD practice area methodologies and approaches (e.g. Leadership Team Effectiveness, Culture Scan, etc.), and associated frameworks,practices, and tools
Integrate OD methodologies and solutions into other Talent & Performance COE and Total Rewards COE solutions (as appropriate)
Lead communities of practice for OD practitioners as a way to build capability and a mechanism to evaluate practitioner proficiency/effectiveness
Create an OD dashboard to measure effectiveness and value realization of OD transformation efforts
Evaluate Cargill’s change maturity; in partnership with L&D Global Learning & CCE/Change Enablement practice
25%Define the Cargill transformation agenda with the Cargill Executive Team and work with the HR Leadership Team, GHRS (esp. respective Talent Performance DomainLeads/Consultants) and other Talent & Performance and Total Rewards COE Leads to translate such into OD solutions, and design specific interventions to progress theorganization toward the desired state.
Build an Integrated Cargill change portfolio or change journey map and drive execution of the required Cargill-wide global large-scale transformation efforts
Define change impacts and risks, and build recommendations and change plan according to the Cargill change portfolio
Build OD capabilities in the organization to increase agility
Integrate OD methodology and practices into other TPCOE and Total Rewards COE solutions (as appropriate)
15%Responsible for ‘bringing the outside in’ through thought leadership, continuous learning and dialogue regarding external, industry “best and next practices” and internalbusiness needs, through connecting with other companies, industry/academic groups, and the Enterprise/Function & Region TPCOE Leads and Regional Global HRSolutions Domain Leads.
Responsible for integrating the external perspective with the business needs to ensure strategies and solutions are business relevant.
10%Accountable for building HR capability (Business HR, Global HR Solutions, and Centers of Expertise) and ultimately organizational capability in the OD practice areas.

12 years of relevant business and/or human resources experience
Minimum 7 years experience in the field of OD with an emphasis on organization design
Mastery knowledge in OD and associated practice areas, and demonstrated experience leading large-scale change efforts, esp. organization design and senior leadership team effectiveness interventions (e.g., in addition to relevant academic background, relevant certification in OD practice areas)
Demonstrated experience in organization development/organization effectiveness (OD/OE) disciplines
Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deploy scalable frameworks and tools with a continuous improvement mindset
Strong knowledge of business/operating models and corporate strategy, and demonstrated ability to translate business priorities into solutions
Strong diagnostic and consultative skills, and relevant experience in leading complex change for a diverse global enterprise
Ability to work across multiple industries/market segments, and identify common themes/gaps – “connect the dots”; move activities from the strategic to the tactical, and translate theory into practice
Experience with direct/indirect people management of experienced individual contributors
Project management experience
Strong collaboration skills
SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification, or demonstrated experience (5 – 7 years) in other HR role groups, e.g., HR business partner or HR shared services role
Knowledge of other talent management related disciplines (e.g. talent acquisition, talent management/performance management, leadership development, competency models and assessment, coaching, team effectiveness)
Experience in large, multi-national company
Masters in Organization Behavior, Organization Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, HRD, or related area of study
