Leading& developing additives portfolio is a part of overall CPN Russia businessstrategy. The position of Category Manager, Additives, will help establishingCPN Russia as a leading company with most advanced nutritional expertize on themarket. The right individual for this position will ensure best-in-classstrategic marketing leadership for thechannel commercial teams in order toachieve volume and earnings growthtargets for Additives in support of the overall business strategy. It includes GTM strategy development &implementation, innovative pipeline accountability, thorough understanding ofcustomer, consumer & competitive environment, etc.
Thisposition will lead members of the technology team which serves as a technicalexpert and link between research and development, technology application,commercial teams and other marketing team members.
Cross-functionalcollaboration is required to lead, drive & evaluate innovation &additives portfolio projects, as well as collaborating with external customers,vendors, and other influencers to ensure all efforts have a strong marketconnect.
Thisposition is designed to support a variety of projects and tasks; all leading tothe successful execution of the business Strategy.
TheAdditives Category Manager role is highly visible within the Animal NutritionMarketing and is a critical role withinthe overall strategy for the CPN Russia business. This role will work closelywith highly experienced sales, specie & finance managers and businessleadership. The position is expected togrow skills and take on progressively more responsibilities as performance and competency are demonstratedand workload permits. This role isconsidered a development role formarketing or business leadership.
(40%) Portfolio Management,including:
Developing& executing Additives Go-to-Market-Strategy (category value pool; righttarget customer segment(s); tailored value proposition(s); offering (i.e.,product development, category management, pricing, etc.) for each targetcustomer, etc)
Analyzingof additives portfolio/SKU profitability, recommending decisions & potentialfuture growth opportunities based on the analysis & overall marketknowledge
Frequentvisits to new prospects and existing customers to identify needs and bring CPNsolutions to improve customer results and system profitability.
Developing& implementing additives tactical marketing support plans includingSalesforce Support (e.g., promotional material, sales tools, performancemeasurement) & post-sales support (e.g., customer support, processimprovement and innovation).
Developingand executing internal and external communication / messaging plans based oncustomer opportunities identified
Collaborating across the business to ensure strategicmarket based pricing, revenue and profitability additives goals are met
(40%) Additives’ products launch management:
Leadingthe development and implementation of a three-year innovation additives’products launch strategy, pipeline, and execution roadmap.
Leadingcross-functional additives’ products launch species teams (Marketing,Technology, R&D, Sales) driving the additives innovation pipeline andproduct life-cycles. Identifying and managing research and analysis to evaluatenew innovation opportunities.
UsingCustomer Focused Development (CFD) approach, project management process andMarketing Academy tools to identify, develop and launch new value-creatingproducts, services and solutions.
Collaboratingwith internal (including global additive team) and external partners todiscover new insights about customers and then designs, tests, and delivers newofferings and packages.
Developing& introducing the additives local marketing plan (LIP): strategic marketing& sales plans, collaborates on execution with Marketing Communication Team.
Managingadditives’ products launch initiatives through the life-cycle.
Managing results for quality, timeline, and budget viascorecards
Managing the gate review process
Responsiblefor feasibility studies and field trials management.
Researchingthe design of products and ensuring that quality standards are met.
Trainingand development of relevant stakeholders, both internal (e.g., sales,technical, etc.) and external (e.g., customers), to support consistentdeployment of the offering
(20%)Reporting & Budget Management:
ManageAdditives marketing budget and grow the efficiency of marketing channelactivities execution providing learnings and evaluation of portfolio(brand)/channel activities (ROMI, POP, scorecards, customer feedback and/orfocus groups)
Togetherwith Commercial Directors and Additives Business Group Managers, achievetargeted growth in Additives (measured in Gross Margin)
3 years of experience in Marketing/ Trade Marketing within well-established B2B companies; preference for experience with functional additives and enzymes in animal health.
Technical sales experience would be a plus;
Demonstrated understanding of marketing principles, tools and vehicles.
Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the marketing field for complex problems, new projects and system development, strategic analysis, etc.
Experience developing marketing plans, implementing & analyzing of marketing projects effectiveness (ROMI, etc).
Proven analytical skills and the ability to influence strategic objectives.
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and influence for cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage financial elements of the business, including budgets, product margins and credit risk.
Ability to measure, evaluate, act & make scenarios of financial and operational results.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects, particularly new product offerings.
Ability to travel (30%-50%), including international.
University degree marketing/business/economics.
Fluent in English and Russian.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as relationship management skills.
