Job location(s): Mouscron, Belgium

As part of the local FSQR team, the FSQR officer Gourmet is responsible for the food safety and quality compliance and continuous improvements for all Gourmet related activities chocolate Europe including subcontractor FSQR development and auditing, defining the food safety expectations for the subcontractors and quality specifications for the Gourmet products, complaints handling and continuous improvements.

This position is a key in delivering on the chocolate Europe Gourmet Strategy.

Major Tasks

60% Food safety, Quality, Regulatory

1.Responsible as key contact to lead and organize the FSQR related subcontracting activities and aligning with key stakeholders internal and at subcontractors to insure the food safety and quality on the Gourmet product range.

2.Key contact for subcontractors auditing, development and continuous improvement.

3.Focal point for the subcontractor complaint management.

4.Food safety contact for the location HACCP team where liquid chocolate is produced for the subcontractor.

5.Specification management and product label verification for subcontracted product.

30% Continuous improvement

1.Responsible to provide the Monthly reporting data related to Subcontractor activities

2.Own and drive the CAPA management for the subcontractors by following root cause analysis, ensuring preventive and corrective actions

10% Back up

Backup role of the local FSQR Team Manager of Mouscron.

Qualifications

Education

Master in food science biochemistry or microbiological science or equal scientific education in combination with relevant experience in food industry for several years or equivalent by experience.

Experience

Ideally min. 3-5 years in food industry

Skills (applied knowledge and technical skills directly related to this position)

Skills:

Good knowledge and experience of HACCP, FSSC 22000

Basic knowledge of food safety legislation

Auditing experience

Experience with problem solving techniques and continuous improvment

Fluent in English, Dutch and French. Other languages (German…) are a plus

Willing to travel (10 to 20%) to other Cargill’s locations, subcontractors, or customers.
