Position Purpose & Summary:

This role is primarily focused on the harvest activities of Mixed Sea Salts raw materials. Activities will include evaluation of various methods and processes; design, scale-up, and economic analysis of and the execution of harvest, stack and haul of Mixed Sea Salts. This role may also be involved in evaluating and executing other related key strategic options essential to efficiency, optimization, growth and innovation. In planning and execution of these processes, this position collaborates across departments and functions in the facility to ensure all aspects of the process aligns with manufacturing needs or requirements, business unit strategy and goals, company policies including but not limited to EHS requirements, Food Safety, GMP's and other regulatory requirements, Quality Assurance, financial and other controls, intellectual property protection, etc…

Principal Accountabilities:

60% With oversight develops, implements and provides project/engineering support from feasibility stage through realization stage. Responsible for facilitation, engineering, design and optimization, equipment and material specification, facility design and scope, project planning and resources, project budgets and goal setting, schedules, and operability of completed processes and equipment. Responsible for personnel safety and environmental stewardship during all phases of the execution of harvest, stack and haul of Mixed Sea Salts.

20% Validates that completed processes achieve desired plant and BU strategy, goals and results; including but not limited to EHS, Reliability Excellence, Quality Assurance, resource efficiency, and cost improvements.

20% Mixed Sea Salts Operations troubleshooting assignments; miscellaneous job-related duties.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

  • 3 years of demonstrated experience in operations and/or project management.

  • 2 years of experience in developing, executing and managing multiple successful processes.

  • Working knowledge of transporting and handling of bulk materials

  • Technically competent with Microsoft tools: Excel, Word, Access, Visio, PowerPoint, Explorer.

  • Ability to travel 10%-15%.

  • Sedentary work with computer/at desk for longer periods of time.

  • Climbing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Feeling, Talking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years Cargill experience, preferably in the areas of material processing, and bulk handling.

  • Completion of PPM, PMI Project Manager Certification, or Managing Projects at Cargill course.

  • OSHA construction management training

  • Ability to use AutoCad, PI Data Historian, and Informance.
