Position Purpose

Responsible for and lead the Continuous Improvement Mindset in FSQR Systems in Malaysia including: identifying projects that provide significant opportunity to change the QMS (Quality Management System) and expand the continuous improvement process competencies. Identify and Lead projects, define KPIs/Goals and define actions plan development, value propositions, structure and lead continuous improvement events in order to provide knowledge transfer on Continuous Improvement practices to deliver better results.

Lead the implementation of Quality Tools across the Region and lead Continuous Improvement in the Quality & Food Safety Process throught identification of opportunities/projects that bring value for the business.

Principal Accountabilities


Develop and Implement a Continuous Improvement Strategy (using DMAIC methodology) for Region focused in FSQR Policies/procedures and requirements in multilple process (food, oils, infant food, etc) including: identify opportunities in QMS Core Process, map current Quality Process (Laboratory), analyze, review and implement projects based on predefined Cargill, Legal and Customer requirements.


Define, Implement and Perform the FSQR Index and Key KPIs (CONC), identify opportunities and define prevention activities/projects that bring value to business in the plant level and in Malaysia.


Develop, implement and assess Core FSQR process/systems, lead the mind set management of change for driving continuous improvement across FSQR Team members and main stakeholders providing input to location leaders related to base/non-base capital needs to maintain quality & food safety leadership position in one or more locations.


Support Operations Initiatives related to quality & food safety for improving, keeping or/and otimize quality performance of products, proactively identify and antecipate risks and takes actions to prevent FSQR incidents


Define and implement Regional strategy to Process Management mind-set, challenge the current process and status quo, implement the PDCA, preventive actions and anticipate risks and quality assurance mind-set in FSQR Members and stakeholders


People/resource/budget management – Influency indirectly the FSQR employees to improve key indicators and manage better resources avaliable in alignment within Malaysia, actively participates in development of FSQR intiatives and budgets, challenging budgets, key member of Malaysia FSQR leadership team


Define Regional Strategy to Implement Quality Tools such as RCA, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, A3 Report, mapping value stream, Statistical Process Control related to FSQR Core Process as a standard process to improve FSQR performance.


Education, Experience

  • Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in Quality engineering, Production engineering or related fields.

  • Deep technical knowledge in the areas of LEAN Manufacturing and Quality Tools

  • Green Belt Certification is required

  • Minimum 5 - 8 years experience in: Quality & Food Safety Management in Food/Animal Nutrition Companies and Knowledge of tools Lean & Six Sigma (VSM; Kaizen; Hoshin Kanri; Standardized Work; Just in Time; DMAIC; 5S)


  • Advanced Project Management - Applies intermediate structured, disciplined approach to planning, administering and completing projects

  • Intermediate Plant Manufacturing Knowledge - intermediate practical knowledge of manufacturing processes & operations

  • Intermediate Lean Manufacturing Thinking and Knowhow

  • Deep understanding of statistical process control programs

  • Intermediate HAACP Knowledge/Implementation - Applies HAACP to identify & control food safety hazards

  • Intermediate Managing & Improving FSQR - Delivers intermediate processing that are aligned, effective & optimize Cargill resources

  • Intermediate Training - Delivers intermediate learning solutions that engage leaners and provides desired outcomes

  • Intermediate Customer Specifications Management - Interfaces effectively with customers; ensures products meet

  • Intermediate Knowledge of Cargill Policies & Standards - Applies CFSRA policy & standards to enhance food safety & quality

  • Basic BusinessAcumen - Applies basic business acumen to partner effectively with business counterparts

  • Basic Scientific Knowledge - Applies basic scientific knowledge & principles to identify & manage risk

  • Basic Auditing/Compliance - Applies basic auditing and quality compliance skills to identify and manage risks/compliance.

  • Intermediate Product Information /Documentation: Prepares product information and documentation that meet regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Advanced Knowledge of Quality Standards & Quality Tools - Applies knowledge of quality standards and tools to enhance food safety and quality

  • Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Project)
