This position will treat, evaluate, and assess employees work related injuries and illnesses. Primary responsibilities include triage and treatment of employees with work related and personal injuries/ illnesses, OSHA recordkeeping, hearing conservation, CPR program support and instruction, and other duties as assigned. This position will promote the health, safety and well-being of all staff working in Springdale, AR.

Principal Accountabilities:

30% Evaluate/assess employee problems/concerns and determine a medical treatment plan to ensure quality medical care

30% Maintain employee records to facilitate OSHA, and Worker's Compensation record keeping according to established policies and procedures to ensure location compliance

20% Ensure the professional standards of nursing are maintained and confidentiality of medical data is protected

10% Be a liaison between health professionals, employees and other management personnel at the facility

10% Administer all other responsibilities/duties as delegated/assigned are completed timely and accurately


Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate from NLNAC or State Nursing Program

  • Current Active license to practice nursing in Arkansas

  • Very Team Oriented

  • Candidate must be sensitive to the needs of a multicultural/multilingual environment

  • Ability to work 2nd shift hours and occasional weekends

  • Ability to work in continuously changing environment and multi-task

  • Able to utilize established practice guidelines and procedures as directives to perform position accountabilities

  • Able to use independent thinking with nursing knowledge and legal limitations to make appropriate decisions and recommendations

  • Able to utilize established protocols and policies to make autonomous medical decisions

  • Able to prioritize and establish treatment plans and goals for employee care

  • At least 1 year experience with computer/technical skills and capabilities (e.g. Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Emergency, Orthopedics, surgery, and /or case management preferred

  • Fluent in Spanish (ability to read, write, and speak)

  • Degree in Business or Human Resources

  • One or more years of experience in Occupational Health Nursing

  • Knowledge of OSHA recordkeeping regulations and/or state Workers’ Compensation regulations

  • CPR/First Aid certification
