Responsible for applying general knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety practices and standards.

Provides knowledge of less complex issues, solutions and problems through the following areas of focus:

development and implementation of EHS strategy, maintenance and continuous improvement of EHS.



  • Demonstrates basic understanding of Corporate/BU/Location EHS strategy and proactively questions and challenges areas of low clarity.

  • May assist in assessing Environment, Health and Safety risks and opportunities to broaden understanding.

  • Supports efforts to ensure deep understanding and achieve support of the approved EHS strategy, or relevant parts of the approved EHS strategy, from internal partners and stakeholders.


  • With frequent oversight from more senior team members, leads or assists in the development of routine programs and processes to execute EHS strategy in a manner appropriate to the technology, scope and maturity of the team/area.

  • Frequently benchmarks internally to facilitate learning and to identify best practices of others, consistent with and in support of the EHS strategy, that can be applied effectively.

  • With frequent oversight, identifies and implements changes to support continuous improvement of routine Environment, Health and Safety programs and processes.

  • Surveillance of the factors in the working environment and working practices which may affect the worker’s health, including sanitary installations, canteens, where these facilities are provided by the employer;


  • Provides support to a variety of EHS audit, inspection and risk assessment processes.

  • Using basic understanding of EHS practices and standards, assists in reviewing and analyzing audit results requiring little interpretation, to confirm that the corporate, business and government EHS standards are met.

  • With frequent supervision, reviews less complex processes and data to identify trends and isolate root causes. Assists with process to ensure that appropriate follow-up actions are being implemented.


  • Builds effective working relationships with employees in order to obtain/sustain a strong Environment, Health and Safety culture as well as broaden own understanding of EHS principles and concepts.

  • Supports leaders to implement routine portions of internal communications strategy for key audiences that builds and maintains Awareness of Environment, Health and Safety values, strategies, and performance; shares best practices and key learnings; develops talent; and recognizes high performance.

  • Supports leaders to promote proactive workplace Environment, Health and Safety practices. Using basic understanding of EHS practices and standards, provides technical, regulatory and behavioral support required to build a strong EHS culture.

  • Assists in designing and delivering training solutions related to Environment, Health and Safety issues, practices and risks. Requires basic understanding of EHS practices and standards.

  • With frequent supervision, develops and implements routine recognition programs to acknowledge positive behavior and celebrate successes on topics of Environment, Health and Safety.

  • Participation in analysis of occupational accidents and occupational disesases


  • Guides employees on specific customer and community concerns related to routine Environment, Health and Safety topics and equips them with the information and tools they need to accurately represent Cargill on EHS topics.

  • Occasionally consults with internal sales and commercial teams to stay informed of external EHS matters facing community and customers. Supports more senior team members to meet and exceed the expectations

  • Helps in monitoring and preparation of environmental reports



  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Completed BOSH / OHNAP

  • Proficient in office software programs

  • English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering / Nursing Graduate

  • Completed BOSH / COSH / LCM / OHNAP

  • With working knowledge of Philippine OSH Standards

  • Experience in EHS in a manufacturing/construction environment is an advantage

  • Proficient in office software programs

  • Ability to effectively establish collaborative working relationships with other functions in the organization and external parties such as government agencies and private institutions

  • English communication skills
