As a member of the Engineering Team of Cargill-Joy, the (Electrical, Instrumentation, & Automation) EIA Technician interacts with internal customers and external suppliers and vendors to ensure smooth operations of all electrical installations within the plant.
The Electrical/ Instrumentation / Automation / Calibration Technician is responsible for the execution of all electrical, instrumentation, automation, and calibration activities in the whole plant site, but can also at times be utilized at other Cargill sites.
Provide Electrical, instrumentation, automation, and calibration support or assistance to internal customers and external suppliers or vendors.
Maintain, configure, operate, and audit all power distribution systems, switching equipment, electronic control equipmentand instrumentation device in a way consistent with Cargill procedures, best practices, and standards. Be responsible for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation equipment maintenance, ensure equipment is running normally Document activities related to equipment or machine maintenance and audit.
Provide electrical support, troubleshoot, and analyze electrical breakdowns. Document activities related to troubleshooting,modifications (if any), and downtime analysis. Conduct timely verification and / or calibration all instrumentation device, weight scales, temperature and pressure gauges in accordance to Cargill procedures, industry practices, and calibration standards. Document all verification and calibration activities.
Manage EIA tools and documentation. Participate in Root Cause Analysis efforts and formulation of solutions. Managecalibration tools, test pieces, standards, and documentation. Maintain orderliness of the calibration
Oversee 3rd party contractors activities related to electrical and electronics equipment or machineries.
Technical Degree in Industrial Mechanics, Engineering Technology, Instrumentation or similar academic background, or combination of academic background stated above.
In addition to the above, at least two years cumulative experience as Technician or a similar position, within a manufacturing organization
Experience with instrument calibration (i.e.: weight scale, temperature and pressure gauges, etc)
Basic experience in management of calibration standards
Basic experience in motor controls, instrumentation, and programmable controllers (PLC’s)
Basic knowledge in computers, MS Office, specifically in Word and Excel
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong attention to detail
Works well in a team or individual environment
Demonstrates strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Willing to work in Sto.Tomas, Batangas
