Description

Position Purpose

Delivering financial analysis that enhances decision making and providing the view regarding performance and opportunities that exist for further investigation and/or improvements by FPA’s and commercial team. Collaborate with Financial Accounting Risk Management teams to identify business optimization opportunities (e.g. EBITDA, working capital deployed) and also with FP&A who will seek improvements and close gaps.

This position provides analyzed information in a structured way, assessing historic & current business performance, highlighting areas of opportunity for the FP&A team who will prioritize and build action plans. This team is tasked with leading management reporting and analysis which may include forecasting/commentary, product profitability analysis and cost analysis – as examples.

Responsibilities

Decision Support

  • Demonstrate strong financial management skills to coordinate gathering of financial data, evaluate and analyze financial statements. Keeps pace with changing relevant regulations, standards, and business factors that may impact financial performance. Review existing reports to optimize, standardize, and define the new reports which will measure business performance.

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial and management reporting and analysis of business performance (KPIs, Metrics). Partner effectively with FP&A for reporting and data needs, defining which performance indicators will be needed to explain/measure business performance and the frequency – design and deliver the reports with the right level of analysis.

  • Ensure optimization and standardization of management reporting across the country.

  • Partner with FP&A, A&F leaders, and CBS to prepare corporate budgeting and monitoring, including control of expenses.

  • Work with business FP&A’s to define the expectation and respond to ad hoc requests from FP&A & commercial teams as per the business needs.

  • Prepare Business budget in collaboration with Business FP&A.

  • Tracks key financial risks and communicates initial conclusions with manager or more senior members of the team

  • Responds to moderately complex adhoc requests with constructive and high quality solutions.

Business Partnership

  • Provide ongoing financial expertise and information to the leadership team and other business teams.

  • Work closely with the A&F, Finance COEs and FP&A team to achieve finance objectives.

  • Provide leadership and partner with other functional teams to establish the ongoing development of financial/management reporting that support the business decisions and strategic goals.

Continuous Improvement

  • Supports and implements process simplifications and enhancements to standardize and improved business information.

  • Provides input and identifies opportunities to improve data integrity and usefulness for effective management reporting and implements as appropriate.

  • Support the transition of the organization to the end state organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Finance degree

  • Proficiency in excel

  • Proficiency in databases

  • Fluent in English

  • Data analytics

  • Minimum 8 years of accounting or finance experience

  • Demonstrated change agility

  • Continuous improvement mindset

  • Communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Experience working under pressure and doing more than one task at time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statistics

  • Knowledge of costing and inventory

  • Knowledge of ERPs (SAP, JDE, One World, Lynx)

  • Knowledge of Cargill tools and applications

  • Knowledge of Tableau

  • Knowledge of Power Pivot
