Cargill Metals Supply Chain is evolving and we are looking for high-performance, driven individuals to help us move forward. The Sr. Systems and Process Design Analyst will be a technical expert and a key part of enabling business capabilities for supporting the business through data and analytics. The individual will be responsible for cultivating, aggregating, and creating order to existing data, enabling decision making by the business. The individual in this role will need to be able to work with limited oversight to carry out projects, create tools, and develop processes that are in line with the vision for the Metals Supply Chain transformation. This role will challenge the individual to develop new processes and tools from our existing data which will provide solution capabilities for Sales, Trading/Purchasing, Finance, Credit, and Operations. The individual will play a large role in rolling out the data-driven processes within the Metals Supply Chain.

40% Responsible for developing new tools and processes to enable business capabilities and decisions. Collaborates with key stakeholders, peers and leadership members to ensure proper analysis of the tools reflecting the aggregate data is successfully implemented. Utilizes substantial knowledge of process & solution management practices to understand business/function requirements, and analyzes and responds to local design needs. Translates and analyzes variances from the project plan, researches alternatives, and implements the preferred/approved recommendations. Participates in and contributes technical advice to the SLA/OLA negotiation and agreement among key stakeholders. Use project portfolio management (PPM) to funnel ideas into innovation and work with consultants or autonomously to deliver on these projects within budget and on time. Develops a robust knowledge of process requirements, and provides complex business model design services for development. Provide technical expertise with the integration into a new system to the Newco.

40% Provides technical insight for the analysis of the data. Cultivating, aggregating and assembling data to support decision making. This includes supporting & enhancing the various tools (i.e., Position/MTM, Forecast tool, Sales incentive, and FBS – booking report) that are currently built out in Oracle. Take our Business Intelligence to the next level by creating front end output dashboards and digital data visualizations to showcase key metrics and reporting from the live system.

10% Supporting existing business processes and data for the Metals Supply Chain. This includes managing master data across the systems platform to ensure that there’s a common language across the business and process control over master data.

  • 4 year degree

  • Equivalent experience of 4 years in data analytics and large-scale data process/tool business enablement or decision support will be considered

  • 2 years of creating and maintaining database procedures

  • Experience developing processes and tools that enable enterprise optimization through data

  • Experience in driving business master, transactional, and supportive data changes

  • Advanced/Expert level knowledge in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Structured Query Language (SQL); experience creating databases and complex spreadsheets

  • Ability to build relationships across geographies, in person, over the phone, or email

  • Inner drive to bring new ideas forth, build things from scratch, and find ways to improve processes


  • 4 year degree (Management Information Systems or Computer Science)

  • 4 Years developing processes and tools that enable businesses to make better decisions through data

  • Prior execution of data analytics across multiple BU functions

  • Continuous improvement/lean six sigma green belt experience and/or certification

  • High proficiency with Oracle PL/SQL, Packages, and Scheduler to maintain existing business framework

  • Ability to create front end applications to deliver database content to business users.

  • Substantial business acumen that allows data analysis to be synthesized into meaningful interpretations
