Cargill Meat Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor (2nd Shift). This position involves specific day-to-day tasks relating to some or all of the following on second shift operations: production, safety, environmental, costs, management, customers and quality.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Directly supervise 2nd shift maintenance associates.

  • Assist the maintenance manager in the implementation and control of maintenance programs and systems.

  • Work with production staff to assure the most efficient equipment and plant operation.

  • Develop new and innovation methods to enhance existing equipment performance

  • Develop a method to reduce waste and to promote continuous improvement plant wide.

  • Supervise and implement the PM and work order systems to ensure its effectiveness and thoroughness using CMMS.

  • Ensure a safe working environment for both the maintenance department and facility as a whole.

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of time and attendance reporting.

  • Ability to plan and manage multiple project at a time and to ensure timely completion



Technical degree or 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience

Demonstrated good communication skills, both oral and written.

A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment is desired.

Ability to troubleshoot PLC with full understanding of ladder logic and strong electrical and mechanical skills is required.

Must be proficient in computer skills with technical writing skills ability

Must be able to work flexible hours, shifts, and weekends as needed.

Must have knowledge of OSHA & NEC regulations governing this area.

Travel, at times, may be required.
