Principal Accountabilities

50% Technical Activities

  • Consult published information and internal knowledge regarding feed raw materials and ingredients

  • Run raw material simulations of new ingredients using feed formulation tools

  • Suggest and organize relevant ingredient analysis for new materials with laboratories

  • Organize, plan and supervise animal trials with respective animal species researcher

  • Prepare reports with interpretation of results from simulations, in vitro and in vivo tests for the business

25% Project Activities

  • Lead work streams related to feed application

  • Deliver results within agreed budget, time and resource plans

  • Participate in team meetings

15% Business Connectivity

Connect the needs and demands of different Cargill Business, such as:

  • Cargill Co-Product Synergy Team

  • Cargill Animal Nutrition Strategic Marketing and Technology Teams

  • Cargill Starches, Sweeteners and Texturizers Group’s Centers of Expertise (mainly COE Feed & Co-products)

10% Ideation

  • Look for new opportunities to increase value of Cargill agricultural raw material processing streams as feed ingredients or additives

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills

  • Master Degree in Animal Science, Agronomy, Veterinary Medicine, or closely related agricultural field;

  • High knowledge in animal nutrition (multi-species) and feed formulation;

  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills;

  • Ability to work in diverse, cross functional teams;

  • Leveraging general knowledge and experience of different areas, i.e. commercial, technical and R&D;

  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal;

  • Be able to work independently and with a team with minimal guidance;

  • Travel<20%.;

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum one year practical experience in feed formulation within a commercial setting;

  • Advanced knowledge in feed formulation using different software;

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point);

  • Research experience (any species);

  • Animal Scientist or Agronomist;
