Protein Marketing Internship:

A Marketing project will be assigned at the beginning of the internship. The project will be substantive in nature and will create exposure to a variety of work. Work will include the following accountabilities:
Strategic project assigned that fosters opportunities to many of marketing’s key activities.
Exposure to various levels of the organization with hands on experience in brand positioning, activation, and leveraging consumer insights in business decisions.
Project activities may also include learning about marketing budgets, engaging with agency partners, customer facing sell-in opportunities and executing brand activities with retail or foodservice customers.
Exposure to a large global organization with vast opportunities to network and personally develop
Students will have the opportunity to:
Gain immediate hands on work experience in one of the world's largest privately held companies.
Participate in orientation, mentoring relationships and other opportunities targeted toward development.
Network with employees at a variety of levels and in a variety of functions within the organization.
Receive regular feedback on job performance.
Cargill offers both housing assistance and relocation reimbursement to interns who qualify (based on mileage).
Internships are paid and are at least 12 weeks in duration.
Day–to-day transportation to and from work is the responsibility of the intern.
Interns who demonstrate exceptional performance and a curiosity to learn more may be offered a full-time position for the following year.
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in marketing, or a business-related degree graduating between December 2018 and May 2019
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
All candidates must be geographically flexible and willing to relocate for an internship opportunity anywhere in the U.S.
Able to complete a 12-week internship in the summer (May/June - August 2018)
Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance
Must be able to complete essential functions of this job as outlined in the job description with reasonable accommodations
Overall GPA 3.0 preferred.
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in marketing, or marketing research / consumer insight preferred.
Experience and/or interest in agriculture or animal husbandry.
Experience and/or interest in Marketing Research and Consumer Insights.
