The Storeroom/Warehouse Assistant position is responsible for supporting operations in the storage and accuracy of spare parts and other operating supplies. This includes, but is not limited to receiving, issuing, kitting, cycle counting, inventory administration, computer catalog maintenance, maintaining/repairing of spare parts and tracking of package materials as well as maintaining a facility that is in accordance with all safety and food safety requirements.
Principal Accountabilities :
30% Manage/coordinate various storeroom functions, including work order repairs, issuing, receiving, cycle counting, kitting, inventory administration and computer catalog.
20% Material handling-including stocking/returns, pulling for work execution, delivering on site
20% Perform data entry, run reports and queries utilizing the inventory management system,(AS/400 and SAP systems). Download, compile, interpret and analyze data to understand inventory trends.
10% Maintaining Safety & Food Safety storage requirements (including audits/audit checks)
10% Problem resolution with counterparts across the business unit, as well as vendors and procurement center (i.e., Best practice implementation, shared inventory, emergency backup as needed)
10% Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Special projects: inventory/supplier reductions, project work, safety/food safety, engagement teams, etc

Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, and work in confined spaces
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds in a daily basis.
Ability to work in elevated areas
Must be able to operate machinery
Must be able to read/write English
High School diploma or Equivalent
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel,some sort of an Inventory management system (preferable SAP), typing at a minimum 40 WPM.)
Ability to work overtime
MRO (maintenance repair ops)
Knowledge and ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems
Experience working in a general industrial storeroom or distribution center
Understanding of scheduling and kitting for spare parts operation
Prior experience in production related work
