The Electrician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of plant electrical and controls systems. He/She will both Perform and assist with new installations of electrical power and controls, perform modifications to existing electrical systems and assist with planning and implementation of future work and electrical warehousing. Every employee is responsible for their own and other safeties as well as food safety compliance and GMP enforcement for themselves and others around them
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Install, maintain, test, evaluation and repair, including predictive and preventative maintenance technologies on, power distributions systems, motor control systems, automation and process instrumentation systems, PLC’s, frequency drives and communication systems.
Perform housekeeping, parts procurement and project work as assigned by supervisor
Basic commercial / Industrial electrical maintenance and repair(lighting fixtures & alarm systems)
Secondary Accountabilities include:
Read blue prints, one line diagrams, schematics, understand task symbols, and read operation manuals
Assist with inventory and parts as needed
Troubleshoot electrical controls
PdM skills will be learned and utilized as needed including lubrication, ultrasonic infrared, and vibration Duties include but are not limited to:
Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility electrical equipment
Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and facility electrical equipment
B. Perform light mechanical work
C. Strict compliance with safe work rules, good housekeeping practices and specified environmental and QC policies/procedures/standards is required. Operating logs, records and data must be consistently and accurately maintained.
D. Operation of forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and associated equipment.
E. Participate in root cause analysis, safety meetings, and miscellaneous administrative duties.
F. Perform any miscellaneous duties assigned including but not limited to: housekeeping tasks, confined space entries etc.

Ability to do elevated work and working under special conditions such extreme heat or cold.
Read and write English.
High school degree or equivalent
Working overtime, holidays, nights, weekends and different shifts.
Journeyman status electrician or 8000 hours equivalent field experience
Install, maintain, test, evaluation and repair of all plant and admin electrical systems
Physically able to perform job duties which include bending, stooping, turning, shoveling, sweeping, pounding with hammers, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting, driving, riding, maneuvering of forklift, pay loader, etc
Demonstrate strong computer skills; Microsoft Office, SAP
Operation of company vehicles including company truck, forklifts, scissor and boom lifts
- Other duties as assigned
One year experience in production or plant environment
