Position Purpose & Summary

Provide support for the North America Cargill Texturizing & Specialites Sales Team at the direction of the Sales Leader. This position is responsible for assisting the Sales Team with day-to-day operations of the department. Primary responsibilities include sales assistance, report creation, analysis and distribution, administrative responsibilities, and other special projects. This role will also help drive improvements to existing processes and procedures.

Principal Accountabilities

50% NA CTS Sales Team Support: assist in preparing customer presentations; manage intracompany sales contracts including revisions; manage customer setup process; point of contact for Field sales back up; assistance for RFQ requests, sample requests and forecasting maintenance.

25% Administrative support: Regional sales meeting coordination; manage and update the commercial scorecard and commercial calendar; validate list-servs and CTS AMCAS sharepoint folders; support the customer grids/intentional contracting process.

25% Report creation: Create and compile various reports for the NA CTS Sales Team, including State of the Business reports, monthly sales reports and contract performance reports, marketing sell sheet and brochures.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 2 year degree.

  • 2 years working with a sales team.

  • 2 years customer facing experience.

  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated conceptual strength and the ability to deal well with ambiguity.

  • Ability to engage and motivate team mates as well as effectively collaborate with others. Ability to build and nurture relationships within an organization; a person who can resolve conflict, not just manage it.

  • Deep understanding of customer perspectives and needs from a Corporate view vs. a BU view.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, good attention to detail and use of sound judgement and ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment are essential.

  • Solid understanding of the food industry.

  • Relentless determination and courage to get things done; demonstrates tenacious and unrelenting drive for results.

  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

  • Ability to effectively utilize word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database and office productivity computer applications.

  • Travel - Up to 10%. Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SalesForce.com or other CRM tools and dashboards.

  • Understanding of food ingredient applications: ability to recognize/understand, properly communicate and follow up on new trends in the food ingredients and final products market.

  • Adept at making effective presentations.
