Description

Responsibility:

To lead development and implementation of core management programs for the location. (50%)

  • 3-year EHS Plan annually, focusing specifically on Health and Safety

  • Cargill Global EHS Program, focusing specifically on Health and Safety for HSL

  • Support EHS part for External certifications (RSPO, ISCC, ISPO, etc)

  • EHS Management system deployment including BBS, data analysis, barrier identification and removal process

  • Any other Health and Safety program that CTP chooses to be implemented.

Assure compliance with all government laws, regulations and license requirements and measure compliance with government and corporate standard. (10%)

Assist Site Management Team and CTP EHS Lead in (20%):

  • Defining health and safety (EHS) risks and manages loss control.

  • Carrying out EHS comprehensive analysis.

  • Ensuring that EHS part of program assurance management systems are established implemented and maintained in accordance with the CEHS/External Certification Requirements and local laws and regulations.

  • Ensuring entire management team understands EHS part of program assurance management systems aspects of every type of operation.

  • Monitoring all contractor activity in relation to accidents and incidents of non-compliance.

  • Ensuring the implementation of governmental EHS programs.

  • Reviewing and updating EHS part of program assurance documents related to ensure they are up-to-date with CEHS policy and procedures, External Certification Requirements and local laws and regulations.

  • Ensure safety committee meeting and ERT established, and to facilitate coordination between them.

Communications, Records and Reporting roles (20%)

  • To communicate goals of safety and ERP to entire management team and provide assistance in developing strategy and method to achieve the goals.

  • Reporting to top management on the performance of the EHS management systems for review, including recommendations for improvement.

  • Ensure EHS performance report prepared and submitted on time and complied with corporate standard as required.

  • Prepare, organize and maintain/update EHS systems documentation for audit purpose.

  • Prepare and submit monthly EHS report to site management team.

  • Write Health and Safety pamphlet and/or newsletter.

  • Submit monthly safety statistic report and ensure data accuracy for the BU to corporate

  • Submit EHS performance report to related government offices as required.

Under the GM and EHS Lead leadership, to be the location representative in EHS matters as needed both internally and externally (10%):

  • Externally:

-Involved in EHS and other related EHS activities as needed.

-Involved in government compliance activities as needed.

  • Internally:

-The location focal EHS contact person and expert

-Is the “keeper” of the standards and program compliance requirements expertise to be made available, familiar and in place throughout the location.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years related experience in EHS Program management, auditing and compliance. Deep knowledge in these programs and/or ability to achieve this knowledge level within 12 months.

  • Minimum of 3 years working directly in the operating environment ideally in the plantation, food manufacturing or similar industry. This experience must include a supervisory role (directly responsible for people leadership)

  • Ideally candidate has degree in relevant EHS technical field/s and direct experience in the operating environment.

  • Candidate must have English and Bahasa Indonesia language proficiency in writing, reading and speaking

  • Candidate must be able to present themselves well across the organization from the EHS Lead, GM to labor and externally to government officials.

  • Organizational guidance, training and support from corporate, CTP EHS Lead, site management and BULT.

  • Standard Cargill policy manuals are available for reference.

  • Industry experts, (including colleagues) and consultants are all problem-solving sources.
