Description

Position Purpose & Summary:

Interfacing with key customers, helping them understand how Cargill Animal Nutrition can provide solutions for them and improve their profitability. Specializing in activities that drive traffic to the retail store, train the store on Cargill products/programs, and lead efforts for consumer facing events.

Principal Accountabilities:

20% Establish and build effective customer relationships

-Meet retail and direct customers and be able to develop a trusting partnership.

20% Drive execution on promotions and campaigns

-Be able to promote the current national and local promotions to get results with assigned accounts.

20% Provide support for consumer events and customer facing activities

-Schedule growth events

-Present chicken chats

-Present at pet food trainings and events

20% Work with customers to execute advertising and social media strategies

-Lead social media efforts like promoboxx advertising.

20% Work closely with internal team members to solve complex customer issues

-Investigate complaints

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of retail sales experience in a feed/farm supply store

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 1 year of to work experience in agricultural retail and sales

  • Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and excellent communication skills

  • Strong industry knowledge

  • Good time management skills

  • Strong self-starter, good analytical and conceptual skills

  • Strong understanding of retail and ability to apply that knowledge to deliver solutions to grow

  • Strong computer skills
