Description

Execute EIA part of capital and expense projects using the appropriate project management tools. This involves leading and managing the full life cycle of the E&I projects from scope evaluation to funds request to execution, start-up and closeout. All relevant Cargill rules, local regulations and best practices are expected to be applied within this work.

Improving and maintaining Plant automation & Plant information systems within the organization.

Regular Time-bases for Supporting Projects

  • Leading preparation, approval and execution of the EIA part of investment projects, to manage and/or coordinate the EIA-engineering and -construction activities and to support in start-ups in cooperation with other technical departments by taking into account all relevant Cargill rules and local regulations

  • Coordinates pricing, estimating and scoping for project design & construction.

  • Accountable for all key design documents such as System architecture layout, Functional design specification and software design specification etc.

  • Lead the execution of a project and manage the authorized budget, schedule and deliver the project according scope and quality

  • Analyzes reports, maps, and drawings, blueprints to plan and design project.

  • Leads and accountable for the EIA-construction activities by coordination of contractors. Support the project purchasing team by the specification and Best practice information of EIA-material, -service and -labor. Active participation in final negotiations with selected third parties.

  • Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, implementation schedules and designs for project.

  • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.

Ensure that these Cargill best practices, policies and guidelines are kept up to date with lessons learned and experiences from the project. Support the development of the project team by team supportive behavior.

  • System design work considering safety, food safety, quality, capacity, reliability, environment, and costs, project scope development, bid package development and contract negotiations, equipment and instrumentation selection, installation, contractor management, commissioning and startup as well as development and adherence to project budget and schedule for multiple capital projects on a plant-wide basis.

Siemens PCS7 programming and control

  • Apply changes to current automation system

  • Control proposed changes and suggest solutions

  • Control safety requirements

  • Optimize control loops and sequence programs

  • Involve in CAPEX and large-scale investment projects and manage automation of these projects

  • Improve/update automation and PLC software’s

  • Plan and test disaster recovery plan of plant automation system

  • Involve in server administration of plant automation system.

  • Find root causes of automation problems and eliminate

Instrumentation

  • Involve in CAPEX and large-scale Investment projects and design instrumentation system for these projects, prepare and control budget.

  • Leads and accountable for the Instrument-construction activities by coordination of contractors. Support the project purchasing team by the specification and Best practice information of Instrument-material, -service and -labor.

  • Ensure that projects are executed in line with Cargill Best Practices, policies, guidelines, national and international norms and standards

  • Design IO systems, cabinets, cabling systems.

  • Lead EIA contractor of these projects during construction phase

  • Coordinate mechanical contractor for installation of field Instruments

  • Define and Manage start-up activities

Electrical

  • Selection of electrical parts according to project scope

  • Leading electrical contractor during design and construction

  • Electrical system design, commissioning and start up

  • Having knowledge of Process Control equipment’s, HV and LV electrical equipment’s

Plant Historian Administration

  • Experience on plant historian systems will be asset

Qualifications

  • Electronics/Electrical

  • 7-8 years’ experience in a similar position

  • Experience with industrial electrical & automation for design and specification of such installations

  • Experience of applicable national and international (European) norms and regulations

  • Experience with electrical-Instrumentation and automation systems of European key suppliers (philosophy, architecture, components...)

  • Must be proficient in the use of computer for design and calculations.

  • Detailed knowledge of electrical-Instrument and automation system design.

  • Must be fluent in English

  • Strong affinity to Field Instruments

  • Experienced on electrical equipment’s

  • Understanding of complex electrical concepts

  • Experience on Instrumentation

  • Experience on MCCs, motor control and drives

  • Basic understanding of mechanical equipment’s and installation

  • Basic understanding of chemical processes

  • Strong skills with MS Office applications

  • Experience on Process control
