Position Purpose & Summary

The position is primarily responsible for assisting Accounting Manager, CFN India in preparation of US GAAP and Local Statutory reporting for Provimi India. The Person shall assist in providing supervisory advice to other Finance team members on Taxation, Accounting issues and supervises the transactional issues in NIS / JDE. The position is also responsible for other local Statutory compliance in relation of Direct tax & Indirect tax etc.

Principal Accountabilities

Local GAAP PNL Closure, consolidation, analysis and reporting

  • Consolidate results of CFN India.

  • Reporting CFN management reporting in BPC.

  • SGA Expenses analysis

  • Consolidation and analysis of fixed costs of the BU.

  • Responsible for preparation and consolidation of monthly/quarterly/annual reports and schedules. Responsible for submission of corporate and management reporting requirements as per the timelines published

  • Responsible for handling branch queries related to accounting. Supporting team during PNL close exercise.

  • Ad hoc reports - Any other responsibility assigned from time to time.50%

Accounting Policies – US GAAP

  • Identification of areas where policies are required.

  • Preparation/review of policies within the Cargill framework.

  • Training/guiding regions for effective implementation of the policies.25%

Other Coordination Activities of Finance Function

  • Ensure adequate knowledge support to other finance team members

  • Ensure smooth coordination with FSS team for smooth Accounts Payable operation

  • Ensure all the Statutory Compliance – Direct Tax are adhered within the deadlines25%


Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in financial analytics.

  • Ability to construe business transaction & impact.

  • Act as a key control owner in the Financial Reporting

  • 2-3 years of experience.

  • Interpersonal skills as he/she needs to coordinate with regional teams, cross function and management.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.

  • Experience of working on global ERP systems, preferably SAP.

  • Experience in Internal Audit would be an added advantage for the BU.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant with more than 2-3 years of relevant experience.
