Principal Accountabilities

Compliance Assurance

  • Collaborates with market HR Lead to discuss, prioritize and resolve issues, build and share best practice across teams, drive operation maturity in HR;

  • Drive initiatives (upon any updates from local governments or internal requirements) to ensure process/policy compliance, internal control/audit effectiveness, follows-up on HR leadership concerns with respective parties in India

  • Report on compliance controls, metrics/scorecard, including flagging issues / risks, advising on resolution and tracking issues through to closure and/or ensure that the issue/risk is appropriately managed

  • Organize communications and trainings in GHRS teams ensuring that compliance controls (including updates) are distributed in a timely and effective manner

  • Cultivating a strong compliance (internal & external), audit & internal control environment in CBS and market team.

  • Serve as subject matter expert, representing both market and CBS to facilitating and supporting internal audit field works

  • Supporting HR self-review/self-assessment of in-scope process/SOP/policy implementation for India

  • Coordinate the socialization with BHR pre-implementation; prepare communication documents to facilitate market EE/ER lead to communicate and manage change impacts locally

  • As CBS data privacy key contact for information security, data privacy trainings, data privacy communications, etc.

  • Escalates issues and cases in a timely manner, clearly capturing and communication details

  • Ensure the process quality consistency by regularly conducting quality audit/internal control testing as appropriate to each service line

Business Relationships

  • Establish the network with compliance key stakeholders in market and CBS, internal audit teams, other local/regional cooperate functions, global CoE teams;

  • Develop and maintain working relationships within CBS internally

Customer Services

  • Provide consistent advice on relevant HR policies and by providing access to personnel information as required

  • Ensure that the Team responds to all employee enquiries in a timely and effective manner and within agreed service levels

  • Ensure that any outstanding issues / enquiries are escalated as appropriate

  • Develop and recommend solutions to meet customer requirements in the most cost effective and efficient method possible through the change procedure process

Continuous Improvement (Processes and SLA’s)

  • Establish a continuous improvement process with regards to operations effectiveness

  • Complete regular reviews of systems and processes used within the team

  • Make recommendations on process improvements, quality and audit compliance to close gaps and drive the implementation of solutions.

  • Assist with the review of metrics and suggest improvements to ensure continuous improvement within the HR

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/ master’s in law

  • 4-5 years of relevant experience

  • Familiar with India Labor Law

  • Strong knowledge of policies, processes and HR operations best practice

  • Knowledgeable of auditing regulations, amendments and local laws governing compliance

  • Possess extensive understanding and experience in the compliance and audit process - including the end-to-end process, priorities, impact of delays and errors on

  • Understands inter linkages of compliance and audit with other processes, and leverages this knowledge for prioritization and issue resolution

  • Achieved uncompromising commitment to client and customer satisfaction
