Position Purpose

The employee in the Goverance or Operations position will further the GHRS Mission to: Accelerate business performance and growth through expert consultation and delivery of HR solutions to Cargill managers and employees.

You will operationalize the PDT Purpose by: Providing expert consulting and governance support across Process, Data, Technology and Service Delivery solutions.

Overall responsibilities of this position are in two primary areas: Leading and executing on the Reporting Governance or Operations Framework and the further development and execution on Reporting Operations or Governance including the client-focused consulting capabilities.

As a member of the GHRS extended leadership team this role will be responsible for driving the execution of the global Reporting and Analytics agenda. Based on the required skills and experience, this will include coaching, advising, mentoring and consulting with all stakeholders in the delivery of services.

In leading and executing on the Reporting Governance or Operations Framework it will be necessary to build on the structure already established allowing a more efficient governance or operations model where standard, pre-approved reports can be produced quickly while other ad hoc or custom reports that join together sensitive data is governed to ensure it is provided based on Cargill’s privacy and security principles.

Reporting Operations or Governance will at the same time provide insight to the Service Delivery Model and its components while also being key in the execution of complex reporting requirements, through gathering requirements, consulting with clients, report creation and providing insightful commentary on the report contents.

This role works closely with the Data and Access Governance Lead role as the data model and access are key components of how reporting and analytics can be designed and delivered.

Principal Accountabilities

40% Business Leader:

  • Review escalated reporting requests from the HR Reporting Team

  • Work with the client/requestor and the CBS reporting team to design and deliver on adhoc reporting requests

  • Provide justification to client/requestor for any rejected reporting requests

  • Escalate applicable reporting requests to Data Privacy Approval Team

  • Offer availability for urgent reporting request approvals

  • Further develop, tune and manage the Reporting Governance or Operations process

  • Manage and report on HR Reporting Team demand

  • Identify and close capability gaps

15% Change Leader:

Embrace and champion change, lead with courage and conviction and build change capability

  • Refine HR Report Request and Approval Process to identify efficiencies

  • Establish and refine Reporting Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

  • Develop and promote self-service reporting capabilities, developing user capabilities

  • Establish appropriate controls for report visibility

  • Provide consultative guidance for report requestors in the business including documented insight based on the report results

15% Culture Steward:

  • Manage relationships between service delivery providers (internal and external) required to support efficient delivery of reporting services

  • Build relationships with Global IT to influence and inform on reporting and technology solution requirements

  • Build strong relationships with HR solutions teams to understand key concerns and apply learnings to improve delivery

End-to-End reporting process improvement

  • Streamline reporting process

  • Reporting quality enhancement

  • Understand and inform the Role Based Permissions settings in Core HR & Talent Management systems for managing report request responses and data visibility

  • Harvest details including type, frequency and volume of reports from incoming requests to identify standard and direct access report opportunities

  • Develop a Reporting calendar allowing for proactive report identification and development

  • Build procedures for the timeline and regular development and analysis of corporate reporting, like Span of Control

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Greater than 5 years of demonstrated experience with reporting and analysis

  • Experience managing processes and delivery within a global context or with global components in collaboration with Businesses and Functions

  • Demonstrated experience learning, designing and/or implementing new or improved processes

  • Proven experience executing (through others) the building and/or integrating of new or existing processes

  • Demonstrated ability to support an environment that emphasizes client-focus, collaboration and interdependence

  • Proven success in leading the development and implementation of reporting strategies

  • Demonstrated successful experience overseeing others, directly or indirectly, including effective development, coaching, and mentoring

  • Demonstrated track record in taking initiative, working independently and handling multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Demonstrated work experience in managing and/or leveraging 3rd party providers/BPOs/outsourcers

  • Experience and understanding of core business processes and transactions including functional knowledge of HR end-to-end process, HR service catalog and Hire to Retire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred)

  • Analytical Problem Solving: Able to identify problems; apply structured and disciplined methodology to identify root cause using data

  • A broad understanding of how Process, Data and Technology interact across the HR Service Catalog

  • Change Management and Communication Experience

  • Proven track record of translating business stakeholder needs and corporate requirements into effective products services or solutions

  • Demonstrated experience and acumen in driving compliance of HR Services

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

  • Proven business acumen

  • Exposure to Core HR, Talent Management, Applicant Tracking Systems, Onboarding Tools, HR Reporting Systems, etc. such as Taleo, SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft
