Description

Financial Operations

\

  • Basic understanding of principles and techniques, evaluate and analyze financial statements for assigned area.

\

  • Executes on basic accounting policies and procedures of one of the following processes: RTR, OTSC, PTP.

\

  • Performs a sub-set of the day-to-day accounting operations required to support the business in the country.

\

  • Utilizing developing and basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices, creates basic financial statements with accuracy and in compliance with established requirements and policies.

\

  • Ensure to complete assigned financial accounting activities which include RTR, PRTP, OTSC, Financial Reporting, P&L, SG&A expenses, allocations, reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, financial close, full balance sheet review, CRP preparation, tax accounting and filing , budget coordination, etc.

\

  • Work closely with Accounting & Reporting domain lead and ensure assigned financial accounting activlties including RTR, OTSC and PRTP ones are executed effectively and efficiently with appropriate controls and end to end view.

\

  • This role will need to communicate with CBS Finance, Tax, Treasury, CFR, Decision Support, Financial Risk Management, internal and external auditors depending on assignment.

\

  • This role is accountable for delivering results for the assigned area.

\

  • Aligns with internal control systems that provide effective and efficient operations reliable financial reporting and compliance with laws, regulations and corporate policies.

\

  • This role will be responsible for ensuring the compliances with all financial regulatory compliances both locally and required for US GAAP in the assigned area.

\

  • Ensure controls and compliance measures are in place for assigned reported financial information.

\

  • Work with other functions and business managers to ensure financial regulatory compliance if nedessary.

\

  • Reviews and creates basic accounting report packages. May be on a weekly, quarterly, monthly and/or yearly basis. Assists in developing key financial measures to support.

\

  • Applies a developing and basic understanding of the business to conduct basic financial analyses of the balance sheet to ensure proper controls over financial reporting.

\

  • Regularly performs transactional processing activities in accounting-based systems such as journal entry inputs.

\

  • May apply a developing and basic understanding of accounting practices and procedures by acting as a primary contact for accounting-based systems in China

\

  • Occasionally collaborates with more senior members of the team to provide technical accounting data and information to Finance partners.

\

  • With direct oversight, follows data governance standards to ensure financial data is accurate

\

  • Provides basic data for more senior members of the team to utilize in the year-end audit

Deploy financial internal control framework, assesses/identify/report risk, monitor and improve Financial Controls for assigned area.

\

  • Be in line with the control framework impremented.

\

  • Tracks and reports compliance to the internal global control framework.

\

  • Assists in the tracking of internal control deficiencies/risks and raises issues to manager or supervisor.

\

  • Possibly partner with Controls COE & Audit teams to understand and address financial risk areas

\

  • Identify opportunities for control efficiencies in processes.

Seek for Process Optimization and Technology Driven Decision Making

\

  • In line with accounting and finance strategy & approach which aligns with the strategy of the Region/Sub-region/country and finance job family.

\

  • Collaborates in driving process optimization,leveraging of shared services and improving the efficiency of finance operations.

\

  • Applies a developing and basic understanding of accounting practices and procedures to identify areas of improvement across a specific accounting process.

\

  • Supports the implementation of process simplification, standardization and improvement.

\

  • Provides input to more senior members of the team for improvements to a sub-set of an accounting process

\

  • Ensure planning processes are streamlined to reduce non-value added activities.

\

  • Data accuracy and E2E framework will be in consistent alignment with global RTR process owner, with a key focus on continuous improvement.

\

  • Partners with other accounting and finance leads.

\

  • Manages engagements with auditors and ensures issues areresolved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent Degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience

  • Accounting experience with good technical knowledge in US and Local GAAP

  • Understanding of CFR reporting and compliances.

  • Understanding of China Tax and basic understanding of US Sub Part F Tax

  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Communication skills,both written and verbal.

  • Ability to communicate,influence and build trust across multiple stakeholder groups

  • Problem solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to partner and engage with centers of expettise(like Tax, CFR, Audit, HR, IT)

  • Understand and use technology to improve process and cotrol
